i understand bro. It has not been easy bro. The first 3 weeks for me on the hustle, I was just making money for lastma police and task force people. They were always catching me for one offence or the other sotey I thought I was cursed. But I guess I learned. We just dey push am bro. Everywhere go good. The hustle and the many challenges almost demotivated me. I dey even dey try pay to bolt now sef, but the money no dey reflect, it keeps getting reversed to my account
I've also paid 10k to those uniform men for taking one-way which was a very funny one-way arrest. Come see as dem catch plenty cars that day, we come line up like say we be presidential escorts. Those people made money that day.
I dey pass there after that and I go just dey smile. Cos the DO NOT ENTER board is always there.
The hustle no easy, my brother. For one to be excited working as an e-hailing hustler, you gats to be the one who enjoys driving.
It is well, boss. Please no get discouraged, you own your car and that's a big hit for you, cos your earnings na your money.
On the reversed money you were paying to bolt, maybe na network issues be that. You fit give it time before trying to pay again.

By the time your own the car both you and the car would have grown old grin (older at least 3yrs to your age and car ) then you start fixing spare parts and your body too.

I don’t know how veterans did it or ehailing is not just for me.
How can you drive upandan Lagos 3yrs+ and not grow grey hair

HP and rental na long thing... same trenches

How about those in a full time job, who work 5 or more years, and can hardly afford their yearly rent, no savings, and too little income to be able to establish any side business or investment?

Driving definitely is hard work, but with proper planning, if a person does that for 2 years(during which they are still able to meet their daily needs-rent, feeding, clothing etc., from proceeds from this venture)and owns their own vehicle, that can easily become a source of income to them. Even if they don't want to drive again at that point, they could give it out for rental.

I wouldn't call it slavery

Hi guys, i reactivated my bolt account after i stopped driving for like 2 years. I have uploaded drivers license and vehicle inspection report but app keeps notifying me to get a new car to activate account whenever I try to go online. I have even tried reaching out to them via the app but they keep telling me they are forwarding the matter to the relevant team. Has anyone experienced this before? How did you solve it?

Delete the car and Add New Car afresh. Preferably through the driver portal. This should work.
Except u just got that car and previous owner used it on Bolt and car is still on that person's account then send Bolt a mail.

There was one elantra I almost had last month, owner had to repaint and do some repairs before he handed over to me on rental... His mechanic spoilt the gear after painting again just two days to the day we agreed that I'm going to pick the car up, and i had been waiting for almost two months. Owner just became discouraged. He said he won't give it out on rental again, he also had over heating issues after painting before gear go spoil. He just had difficult mechanics and they were chopping his money. As it was a rental deal and I don't have it yet, there was little I could do to advise him. That was how I lost that one.

If you have any connect, a beg reason me o.

@glithronix.

Dead Zones are places we don't wish to go. Not places we drive out empty.

Ikorodu, Apapa, Ojo, ejigbo, Ikotun, abulegba, Iju, Akute, ibafo, Ipaja, ayobo, Igando, Lakowe, Epe......

These are major dead zones a smart driver don't wish to take a trip to.
But if you eventually take a trip to any of those places, no need to drive out empty, cos 60% of the trips you'll get there are surely trips to better areas.

Why drive empty from Ikorodu to Ikosi when your next trip could be to Ikeja?
Why drive empty from Oshodi to Maryland when your next trip could be to Lekki?

Oshodi to Maryland is about 20mins drive, but you can get a trip inside Oshodi in less than 5mins; and 80% of the times, the trip will take you out of Oshodi.

What if you drive from Apapa to Maryland empty and your next trip from Maryland is taking you back to Apapa?
What if you drive from Egbeda to Ikeja and your next trip is taking you to Ayobo?

When you find yourself in one of those places that you've marked on red, the best thing is to look for a better place around there, park and wait for a trip. You will most likely get a trip to a better area.
If you get a trip that's going within same area or worse, reject it, arrive and cancel, tell rider to Cancel. If bad trips keeps coming in repeatedly, set destination from there to the island or island-to-mainland and wait a while.

Again: the best time to use Indriver are times you find yourself in those dead zones, cos you can easily cherry pick rides to better parts.

Sha do what works for you bro. You'll surely get better with time. I did worse when I got in newly. I always drove down to surulere anytime I took a ride to VI, Ikoyi & Lagos Island. Cos of my fear of lastma and CBD.
I will share them here one day. Don't have the time yet.
I'm trying to host my project and create a good portfolio at the moment.

Thank you for your this boss.
Plus I go like hear those stories grin
All the best in your project sir

So compare that to a young fresh Graduate that picked a car for HP , 3yrs + 2yrs moving Lagos upandan?

I will advise he picks a job of 50k and get job experience / growth than to drive HP for 3years.

The only people that should be driving are people that
1. Just lost their job and needs to feed and clean up before next job or business.
2. Fresh graduate seriously applying for jobs but tired of seating at home
3. car owners who need extra source of income. Side hustle.

Like you said...IF...
There are definitely conditions like you've highlighted where it might be wiser to take a job than take a higher purchase, so you're right, where the job is available.
Also, my contention was actually the word slavery....it connotes way more than the hard work required to own a car via HP, which I won't consider as slavery. While driving might not be the ideal work experience to earn a better pay at another jo, it could serve as a springboard for funds for other business...

Come to think of it, a lot of the successful businesses out there were started by people with little or no education....or professional experience.

Note; I support getting educated, and I also work in a professional setting and aspire to probably relocate someday, but there are times I envy people who have the flexibility of running a business or doing something for themselves.

I have a question please, who here is using a manual car for e-hailiing.

I haven't driven a manual car in years and had to do that for the past two weeks. My legs suffered a lot.

So how do you cope especially with traffic?
