While I subscribe to Free Speech, I also understand the reasons why the US Supreme Court ruled that freedom does not extend to yelling “Fire” in a crowded theater.

The law only binds government from infringing on people's right to express themselves freely. It does not extend to individuals. I can refuse to let you use my platform to say what you want. I can also tell others not to listen to you.

When a person repeatedly makes statements that can incite/goad people to violence, we the people - or private organizations like Twitter, can censure that person. Furthermore, Reno signed an agreement with Twitter to abide by certain rules and regulations, and his speech is increasingly in violation of those agreements (e.g. not to incite violence, make hateful comments, etc.)

That's what we're trying to do. I am not Ipob, but a reasonable and concerned citizen. We need to stop tribalizing or regionalizing things. Poverty, violence, and lack of opportunity does not care about region.

If somebody says something that eventually leads to loss of life, we should all stand up against it. For next time we might be the victim.
