Thanks for explanation you did on the lanes. But how were you able to know n those gullible couldn’t? Do yuh work in a construction company
.

Oh you're welcome, I don't work in a construction company, but thats the standard, it is known worldwide, in respect to road, where a car or trucks runs, is a lane, a lane of it own, also when one side of the road accommodates two cars, going the same direction that's two lanes, where one car can over take each other comfortably.

In U.S we have 10, 12 lanes, that is 5 or 6 cars running on each side of the road moving opposite each other without obstructions except traffic.

In the case of this road 4cars runs on their lanes, while the other 4cars runs opposite direction on the same road, making 8lanes, 8 cars in total plying the road.
It's just common sense.

Alternatively, the last lane on each side of the road maybe a service lane, that is, those driving to access residential area, shops, offices along the road, while the middle lanes will definitely be a FREE WAY for those trying to avoid traffic, reducing travel time to access other part of the city.

I know not everyone will understand what you're trying to post via the picture of the road, that's why we need to explain so that they understand.

Not a threat, but stay on the topic.

I'm Not a fan of tribal/ethnic sentiment, it's not good every topic here on Nairaland Forum, a user will just pop up to post comments to demonized other tribe/ethnic groups here on NL, it doesn't make sense.

Scanty cars and houses everywhere. This kind of road is meant for densely populated areas like Lagos and ibadan. This is wastes of resources. Make dem invest in people by creating jobs.. Mk all those akwaibom youths doing house help jobs for lagos get engaged in their state.
What Is d essence of making broad roads without people and cars plying it undecided
.

Don't put the cart before the horse, by demolishing people's houses, just because you want to build a road, do you know how much your state govt gonna pay for compensations (Scarce resources) just to build a kilometer of road in a densely populated areas? Advice your Governor to start building massive roads, super highways now on virgin Lands, now that a dollar is ₦610, otherwise your Governor will struggle to build a KM of road with paucity of state funds when dollar gets higher, thereby plunging your State into unnecessary huge debt.
Remember, a stitch in time saves nine

Think logically, Akwa Ibom State builds roads for the future use, then those state-of-the-art houses, high-rise buildings with modern roofs will starts springing up later, thereby giving Uyo City a beautiful skyline.

Uyo no be Ibadan,

Uyo emerged as Nigeria's 21st State capital city, I usually describe Uyo City as a 21st Century City, the best City Masterplan designed by a renowned Architect par excellence, Arc. Victor Attah in 1987 who later became democratically elected Governor of the State (1999-2007)

you don’t understand what make a round 10lanes you no ask questions.hmmm.
See , you don't calculate the lanes of a road by the median, rather you calculate the lanes of a road by the size of the width.

This road is an ten lanes road, certainly not four.

I’m a details: it’s 10lane actually becos the btw the massive divider you have 3lane on each flanks making it 6 while the other 2service lanes have 2 lanes each making it 4 .. so total of 10lanes .. meanwhile the one leading to the airport is 8 lanes ..
are you into road construction?

Inasmuch as I beleive in empowering indigenous firms, Udom should have stuck with Julius Berger. All these indigenous contractors are ethically fraudulent and do not comply with international benchmarks. Watch how they'll use 5 bags of cement where the standard measurement is 10 bags.

All the roads Akpabio uses Berger to construct are still motorable today.
sometimes cause by how they monitor those boy who controls cement and the batching plant in the company, the engineer in charge would finish the calculation and tell them what to do , those boys will went and reduced the standard so as to steal the remaining cement, I am privilege to work in that section though am under paid and suffering, you there not stop those boys From stealing, except it is monitored by the white man.

Airport is very important. You need to put blame on Fulani Ranka Dedeh Governement for not doing roads. The state with meager resources are doing all they can, especially Akwa Ibom.

Uzor Kalu, with all the gra gra for Enyimba they dont even have a suitable stadium to play in till date, but Akwa Ibom does. Enugu airport that is older than Kano airport, still cant be used internationally, meanwhile Baylesa Airport is even better than it.
