Very soon millions of Nigerians will spend Saturdays waiting for a nine or ten o’clock weekend party, wait the whole of Sunday for a seven o’clock eviction show and consume ten weeks debating on who they feel will win the ultimate prize. As usual Nairalanders in their hypocrisy will complain that the country has serious matters at hand while silently taking front seat in the updates thread every party, eviction and task night. This forum will come to life with four or five and sometimes as many as nine daily updates from the show. Bloggers go chop, Seun go chop, politicians go chop, bet houses, music artists, etc. I’ll be lying if I say BBNaija doesn’t positively impact our economy yearly. Ignorant people don’t know nor do they want to educate themselves.

If honestly you watched this franchise since Tobi’s set and continue to support the show every season past then, you are the reason the producers don’t put effort into creating quality entertainment. People with brains would long boycott this half-baked program. The only memorable events all these years were the outfits Ebuka donned every Sunday. If removed from his position I doubt he would bother engaging in the show. Nigerians, we celebrate mediocrity too much. The Nigerian edition of Big Brother should take a twelve-year hiatus because the upcoming season will turn out worse than the just concluded lacklustre Shine Ya Eye.

Your opinion is largely respected but relatively unfair!
So far they still appeal to the public and despite some underwhelming seasons, the show keeps churning out intense and humongous sponsors every year and i dont think such patronage will stop unless a similar show makes a case on its debut!
Going on a 12 year break? Are you for real? Do you know what it means to seize doing business in one year let alone 12 years? Do you know the amount of employees that will be out of jobs?
Do you know its less expensive for sponsors to use a program like BBN to market their products than using radio or tv stations?
Several emerging fintech startups had found the show to be an important platform to showcase their products...
It was through BBN that i knew about the fintech platform 'kuda' and since then i have been using them!
Most of them like flutterwave will pay over the odds to even make the show air twice in a year just to have an opportunity to sell their products!
Even a 2 year absence will crumble the show to its knees and lose all their sponsors to other companies!
Even Ebuka might go into comedy skirts just to make money if the show closes down ...and No Ebuka will rather remain in the show as long as he can still change those lovely attires and earn big time..U nor dey him mind!
Can the show do better? Absolutely!
This is why they have social media platforms where the show lovers can register what they believe can make the show better!
They cannot impress everyone hence your criticism or disdain for the show will likely be noted and make them do better!
Afterall despite how much most consumers complain about the sugar content in Coca-cola,it still gulps more than half a million dollars in terms of sales per week!

Well it's had some underwhelming seasons in the recent past as a result of some mediocre selections.They don't necessarily have to go on a break but they have to improve on that .some have absolutely no business being on the show.Niyi and co.The selectors must do a better job and then that will make she show much interesting rather than have some housemates who will go into the house to sleep all day .lol.The show is huge in Nigeria and you have to commend the sponsors.Ever since BBa went into the doldrums it hasn't been able to stage a comeback coz of no sponsors,yet the same companies are bankrolled BBN every year.So I will give it to the organizers. THEY hold BB all stars of BBamerica yearly in the US too but people don't really care that much like in Nigeria.Its only when I get the messages from CbS that I realize that's it's ongoing,although it appeals to some American youths. But hardly do some of my American friends talk about it.In a country like Nigeria,the show has a way of lifting people and letting them forget the depressing situation in Nigeria,even if it's only for some couple of months
