Reports reaching GRASSROOT REPORTERS says the member representing Akamkpa/Biase Federal Constituency and former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant, Rt Hon Daniel Asuquo has defected from the PDP to Labour Party.


Multiple sources told GRASSROOT REPORTERS that the lawmaker is set to run for the Cross River South Senatorial District under Labour Party.


Hon. Asuquo who is popularly referred to as Dansuki, defected today, July 10, 2022.



He contested the PDP governorship primaries but lost to Senator Sandy Ojang Onor.

I knew he will leave. I was told he opted for APC at first with the promise of the Senate Seat, that is replacing Ekpeyong Asuquo. It didn't work last minute so he had to go to Labour.

Everything South looks like it must be Odukpani.
