CAN should stop making noise and understand that they can’t control all Christians in Nigeria just as the highest Islamic body cannot control my decision as a Muslim.

To face the topic, CAN said even with Osinbajo, there is religious issue in Nigeria so why will the same CAN project their logic of Christian VP being the only solution when Osinbajo fail to curb it?

The thing is that, the president himself decides a lot and even with Christian VP, if a president don’t want to work, the Christian VP is useless in the scheme of things.

In Buhari government, there are some times Osinbajo is barred from security meetings. He is a toothless VP and only have power as much as what the president permits him.

Go and bring the pope as VP, if the president won’t allow him to function, he will just be another wastage.

Asiwaju is a Muslim, got married to a christain, allowed the Christian to continue to practice her religion up to deaconess level. His son Seyi Tinubu is a Christian who attends churches and was at Tope Alabi show the last time. His daughter Iyaloja pray in Jesus name.

I will rather have Asiwaju with a Muslim VP than have some religious bigoted president with a Christian VP.

CAN should shut up. What is their benefits? I'm a Christian and I have never seen anything reasonable from them. They gather under an umbrella for their own benefits. The same applies to the muslim leaders association. Nigeria needs good leader, irrespective of tribe and religion. I can't really see anyone that can positively further Nigeria among those three leading aspirants. However, CAN is only trying to be relevant in the scheme of things. You can't tell me who I will vote for.

“I am speaking boldly without fear or favour because as CAN Chairman I do not receive salary or kobo from Government or any institution, but the facts need to be told.
This Governor has shown compassion to the Christian Community.”

He added that: “For example, when Gwoza people were driven from their ancestral homes, they fled to Maiduguri, and the Governor personally came to CAN Centre in Jerusalem ward two times in June and July 2014.
He gave N10 million for their upkeep at first instance, but the victims were not many.
By the end of October 2014, the IDPs from Gwoza increased to 42,000 in that camp alone. Governor Shettima came again and gave another N10 million.
He also gave additional N5 million for Christians from Borno who fled to Cameroon to be returned home.

“He gave another N5 million for non-indigenes who fled to Cameroon to come back to Nigeria.”
