Hmmm...

It's just a phase; he will outgrow it.
Don't mind someone that will tell you it is a sign that he is gay.
And if you believe in reincarnation, then you have your answer directly above mine. It might be due to past experience.

You dey learn work, my boy do worst than yours, but do not panic, that your wife pregnancy might be the cause, if she put to bed, believe you me after three months of delivery, the dice will be casted on him, you will be his final succour to rest on.

Your problem is you feel insecure. The kid is too tender to be judged as you are doing now. The kid is yet to be cognizant enough for you to judge his psychology.

Well tbh he's a child and kids act that way sometimes, he'll out grow it, beating him will only make it worse so please don't beat him again, just be patient, besides I think your wife is also at fault here, she probably spoiled him too much

What do you expect from a male child undecided

Better do the needful before it is too late

Some kids have gender phobia at tender age. Some will be scared of women. I have a cousin who was so scared of small people when he was below the age of 4. He allowed only big (tall or chubby) people to carry him. You said your boy also avoids other males. So, it is clearly an age factor.

If it continues after his sixth year, you may take him for the mental evaluation. But for now, it is a waste of time.

The reason is that you are not always at home to bond with your son.

If you take your son out always, he won't be scared of you

OP you are the cause of the problem. He saw trying to strangle his mother and you constantly put yourself between them. He is your competition.
Don't worry the rivalry will end soon and you all will be alright.

undecideddont worry he will come around!
He still a baby and need the mother's attention!
When the new baby comes he will know his place!
Nothing to worry about, he is going through a phase!
Very soon you will not be able to go out without him,
I had same experience.

Did you read where he said he is a freelancer who works from home 24/7 and has always being with the boy since birth

Op you don't have to worry, he is just a baby and they tend to display different kinds of behaviors during this their baby-ish period. With time he will outgrow all this and thank God he is about to get a younger one soon, no one will tell him he is now a "big boy" before he gets the gist himself.

don't waste your time and money...when your wife give birth, he will have no where to go than to turn to you. The new child will take all his benefits and attention both from you and the mother. Just cool down, abi the mama go carry am for back join the newborn?
