Please nairalanders I am a young man,a graduate of Political science,I have been teaching for quite some time now, however I think of quitting teaching for good, and to get something better than that....
I would be glad even if to relocate to some other parts of this country for a better job, even if it's a secretarial work.
I don't mind sending in my résumé and CV.

I am absolutely tired of the meagre sum I receive in teaching and I want to leave for something else.

Here's my WhatsApp number: 07015698607
Please I need this help

I was sacked from a teaching job @Mea Mater where I was paid 75k. It's the best thing that happened to me in 2yrs. Now, I have my peace of mind. I no longer fall sick often as I do because of the intense stress and verbal abuse from the principal. I have time for family, to attend functions and so on. And I am making money too.

Go into business. Truth is, with the way this country is getting worse, there's no future for teachers.
Go into business. It may not be making sense but it will make Naira.

Baba, to succeed in this life you have to stop using that word "anything or anyway " when someone wants to help you.
State your skills and what you can do.
If your skills are vast, do a little research on your helper and narrow it down while still being open for further endeavours
Even if it is money, don't use anything, state the amount you want and what you want to use it for. That way someone will know that if given such amount, this is where the money is going

It is not insulting as people may think to state what you want and what you want to use it for (they may say afterwards it's not your money, NO!)

Where in Anambra??

If you are good, go back to your alma mater and start writing projects and assignments for your juniors. It pays and you still have your time. Do more of tutorials and home lessons. I don't want to believe that in your years of teaching that you didn't create any bond with one or two families of your students that you can start with.

If yes, then you are not strategic. Refocus your attention to
Home lessons and tutorials
Writing projects and assignments
WAEC and JAMB coachings etc.

You will be happier, more independent and manage your time better. Plus better income. When I started in 2014, I make roughly 50k monthly but now it's more than times three. I have boys that I sublet jobs to. So it's a process

Thank you and I am good in tutorials and coaching
I would love to be part of your coaching team
I am confident of what I can do.
I already have my WhatsApp contact on my post

As for the private teaching..the parents there have no such interest infact they complain of no money
For my alma mater I actually schooled in Enugu,I actually did lessons back then in Uni,I wanted to be under a lecturer In assisting him but it didn't work out.

My first and only question is;

Is it actually the practice of teaching that you are fed up with or rather the crumbs that come to you in terms of monthly reward? There has to be a clear, distinct and sincere answer to this question.

If it is an improvement in income you seek then understand that you can get this within the teaching profession or you could also to a horizontal career transplant which would put you in a better funnel that will attract a lot more income. But that will also require you to pay a price upfront. Are you prepared to do this at this stage in your life?

A good teacher is potentially a very good Salesman/woman.

My advice to you is that if you really want to make rapid progress in the area of making more income then the fastest way out is for you to initiate yourself with your persuasive skills into the sales world especially if you can get into the FMCG segment of the economy.

Two things I can promise you here;

1. You will quickly learn the ropes and in less than two years will be earning your current monthly salary monthly.

2. If you become a high flying sales person you will never ever lack a job in your productive years again....even for one month. You will be so well.sought after that it will be amazing.

Create a career development plan, then start out small and grow organically, sooner than later you will stun yourself and others with your results.

The whole world revolves around sales.

Good luck to you.

By the way, a client seeks an experienced and prolific sales person to work for an Commercial bakery in Lagos. The preferred candidate must have at least 5 years in a similar role in the bakery industry but all these years must be in Lagos.

Resumption is immediate and salary is between 100 and 300k.

Quote me if you have anyone interested.

Don’t be ohh. See it as a blessing in disguise here. They are underpaid in this part of the world, but are sought after in other countries. Search on YouTube on How to teach abroad by waka waka doctor.
