I need y'alls advice

I've been learning JavaScript with my PHONE using grasshopper app for almost three weeks now for 5hours a day because I don't have a laptop now(would purchase one in two weeks time, hopefully) because I didn't want to make my lack of a laptop an excuse for not starting at all. And I must say, I've really learnt alot like, function declaration, arrays, strings, array manipulation methods, operators, loops, variables and many, many more. If you drop a Java script code now for instance, I most definitely might be able to tell you what it's upto...

But my problem now is that, learning with a phone can sometimes be really demotivating. Reason being that:

1) I find it hard to implement or practice what I'm doing so that it sticks to my brain, and thus I tend to forget simple things and find it hard to solve a simple JS code problem without looking at hints..

I've come to seek for advice, should I continue learning with my phone just to get to know alot as possible with it so that when I'm eventually ready to start learning properly, it would make things easier because I would have be accustomed with some things and some terms || should i wait till I get a laptop?

Function Advice (opinion explanation) {
Let answer = opinion + explanation
Return answer
}

I program JavaScript on my phone a lot using Termux. The only limiting factor is the screen size. But you should be able to do everything that's possible with a PC with a Phone.

Keep learning and understanding how the basics work. In programming your brain is a processor not a memory card. Advance programmers still google basic stuff but the difference is that they can put everything together into amazing products because they understand how all the parts work.

If you're not building anything serious you can keep learning with your phone.

It's not very convenient but what's important is you're learning a thing or 2 each day.

Hold on continue learning.
I learnt my first language c++ with my Tecno M3 way back 2014 if u check nairaland programming section as at 2013 t upward u will see some of my post and comments then I learnt for like 8 months with my phone due to the fact that I was in school then and I can't travel back to Lagos anyhow so I stayed in port learning with my phone the moment I got back home I continued their was nothing really any that much big difference though just continue till you get a laptop

My first android phone. brings back memories with Qpython and AIDE

@OP it's like that for everyone
Nothing sticks and you have to go back and look at how its done over and over. That is normal.

My technique was learning, then trying to do it on my own, failing, then going back to learn it again, and repeat. With each iteration, something sticks and that's how you get better at it

And no knowledge is a waste.I started on my smart phone too with Qpython and then AIDE and even as recent as 2020, I was using Termux to run a Django server.
It's about the knowledge and not the device but when you can, do get a PC

People wey dey give you answer sef no suppose because you dey pass 2 parameters without comma separation... well done.

Modified: and it is return not Return.

Do quick get laptop or a desktop computer... no dey waste time. Phone na phone... PC na PC.

try learning by building something serious. I built my first app back then with just my phone and a little knowledge of Javascript with Apache Cadova. you can start by building scalable projects like, calculator, Todo App and stuffs like that
