netotse:

what's the brand name? do they have a website? or what software do you use to poll?

Brand is MUST PC1800 and they have a Windows x64 Software that works.

About the retired openenergymonitor hardware. Is it up for grabs grin

EgunMogaji2:

There are some switches that doesn’t require a neutral line but I like uniformity and just has neural lines installed in the locations where I needed smart switches.

This is one example of the doing anyhow that common with some of these Nigerian artisans.
exactly, and since the bulb has to have neutral you can use a fishing wire to run neutral from the bulb to the switch. I don do am sotay I'm almost a fisherman...lol

must is a really popular inverter brand, just search for "homeassistant must inverter", there are a couple of people that have tried and succeeded I'm sure.

re the hardware, let's see what we can achieve without going to open energy monitor first, I'm pretty certain it would be easier and cheaper to cobble something together using HA, what do you want to track?

what part of the fishing is stressful? I just got a proper fishing tape and not the ones our electricians like to use, that will make fishing cables a lot easier for me now, if you have POP then it's a lot easier due to shorter distances.

That said if you want to use the no-neutral switches we can also think through it. I added a picture of a switch you can use without neutral. there are plenty on Aliexpress

Hi Guys,

I have a some spare sensors(brand new) I would be willing to give out, both wifi and zigbee, any takers?

For Wifi:
I have some door sensors(they let you know if a door or window is open). It works with the sonoff app

For Zigbee:
I have some switches that you can use to control lights or a socket, you would need to install inside the patress.

P.S.
If anyone is interested in sonoff pow R2 sensors I am getting some in a couple of days from the US.

It's a lie o! I've just put it aside in the interim cos of more pressing things. I'm only just seeing that there was an offer for free hardware in August and I completely missed that.

Netotse, if the offer is still on the table (I am seriously hopeful here) I'm taking
