jihday:
Bassey doesn’t need a move right now
I disagree, moving to a club as big as Ajax will help his development as well as to feature in the ucl consistently

Also he can move from the Dutch giants to a bigger team in europe if he performs well

Horrible news especially now when they would have begun to catch JPs' eye.

The silver lining is that they are both young hopefully their recovery shouldn't take too long.

As for SE seems we will still have to make do with Ndidi, Onyeka, Etebo, Aribo and Iwobi for the foreseeable future.

TheSuperNerd:
ICYMI, Preseason 22/23 Update: Tijani & Onyedika suffer long term injuries ahead of new season. Sad.

20 y/o Samson Tijani and 21 y/o Raphael Onyedika both face lengthy spells on the sidelines due to Injury.

Tijani suffered a fractured tibia and fibula that currently sees him ruled out for the entire new 22/23 season. Suffered it in a Preseason game last Saturday vs Feyenoord.

While, Onyedika saw his achilles tendon ruptured which rules him out for a period of 5-8 months or even a year depending on the severity and progress of recovery with hopefully no relapse.
Happened on Saturday as well in a preseason encounter vs Gent.

Sad, really sad news for two of our young Midfield prodigies in Europe ahead of the new season.

etebo should be excused. I will prefer to see younger players like alhassan and anderlecht new signing in the new super eagles set up if they do well this coming season

No. Etebo should remain. He still has a lot of football in him. Demonstrated that clearly against Sao Tome. And he is a CM/AM which makes him invaluable to us considering our scarcity of players in those positions

I once said that bassey will be playing top level european football in the nearest future with regards to his huge potentials.

If the move to Ajax works that will be a good platform for him to make the leap to bigger European teams judging by how the man United,Ajax,Chelsea,Bayern, inter, juve of this world hv signed players from the Dutch league in recent times

I just hope the move materializes

baba that’s São Tomé not Brazil or France

He should sort his club career out first and for me we need more players with flair and creativity in the midfield position

His next move will determine if he will remain with the team but with 9ja and oga at the top issue he will still get invites even if he ends up with one of the ‘spors’ in the Turkish league

even if ajax wasn’t in the mix he should leave rangers if epl clubs made serious bid for him

He was once touted as a possible replacement for Southampton’s salisu who is a transfer target for man city that is searching for a replacement for outgoing ake

The girls are very composed and have improved in their passing. They just need that killer punch in attack.

I really fear for Onyedika. I'm not sure if he'd be thesame player afterwards.

Achilles injuries are the just grave.

Toni Payne has played LB, RB and LW so far in this tournament and she's been exceptional...She can also play in midfield and as a LW... She's so versatile...
How I wish the super eagles had a player like her... And she can use both feet so we'll...

The team has improved tremendously from what I saw in their opening game. Is Oshoala out?

Joe Aribo and Iwobi can play all that positions, except maybe RB.
