Congratulations to everyone that has gotten their PPR. I tap into your testimony.

I applied in March, Biometrics completed in the same month.
Medical completed and reflecting on my portal on April 5th.
Eligibility review started around May ending. Since then nothing.

Send emails and raised webforms but Nairobi replied to only my first email stating that my application is under active review. Sent emails to MPs but they said they can't help because I am not in Canada. Yesterday makes it 30days since I applied for my gcms note. Still waiting for it.

School is to Resume first week of September and I am getting worried and depressed especially seeing recent applicants getting their PPRs.

Please gurus, any advice?

Chiziteremary:
Good morning all.

Thanks to all who congratulated me. I would like to share my timeline and what i did differently in my 2nd application because i believe this will help someone.

1st Application was submitted 1st Dec 2021
Refusal was recvd 25/2/2022

From my gcm notes i discovered what i did wrong was the fact that i used my brother as additional sponsor. Even though i am self sponsor but i decided to add my brothers account for additional comfort which wasnt necessary after all. I already paid 16kcad for 1st year fees and had sufficient funds to take care of the 2nd year fees and my upkeep in my personal account. The VO's concern with my brothers account was that his payslips werent included and there were lumpsums in his account. Well for some reason my broda didnt want to give me statement of his salary account. He only gave me statement of a join account with his wife where he saves money ( he lives in the USA)

What i did differently

I never wanted to use an agent because of the cost implication and because i believed i could do it myself but i was led by the Holy spirit to use @Frankrobbin. So i decided to go ahead with him, the guy is quite professional i must say though he is so busy that you need to keep calling his attention.

The guy advised me to get professional valuation for my land and building which i did. He also advised that based on my age i shouldn't have bothered with a sponsor outside myself or hubby ( i am over 45yrs). In addition he rearranged all my documents and made them easier for the VO to see all because i had lots of documents.

I highly recommend Frank any day because he is very very professional. I didnt give him breathing space, i must confess that i wanted my application submitted fast fast because my school was meant to Start May 9th.

I also want to appreciate @Anon123, @NorthernshoreLS. NorthernshoreLS thanks a lot, you were the person to 1st advice me to use Frank even though i didnt want to initially. This forum is indeed full of wonderful brothers and sisters.

My prayer is that we shall all get our PPR's soonest in Jesus name.

Amen

It gladen's my heart to see people giving testimonies of their granted visa. Believing that someday mine will also come through.

Congratulations dear, may the land of Canada favor you

Hmm! The bitter truth is that if you don’t disclose it, the United States Immigrations will still reveal this information to Canada when both countries share your biometric details. Trust me; you don’t want the panic of a Procedural Fairness Letter.

The implication of withholding a previous refusal is that IRCC will serve the applicant a Procedural Fairness Letter alleging misrepresentation ( withholding material facts about your application) with very little time for the person to respond to the PFL, like 15 days which can lead to a five-year ban from applying to Canada

I would advise you to disclose it in your application. Please don’t be scared; it does not adversely affect your applications since you did not commit a crime and not a security risk.

You need to present the refusal reason in any way that they can see an improvement in your financial portfolio over the years.

All the best!

Wow! Thanks so much. I really appreciate.

Biometrics : 12 of May 2022
Medical request : 10th of June
Medicals updated to pass : 1st of July
Bvl and ppr: 15th of July

My mistake
I did upfront medicals on 26th of May. I did not upload or send my medical information sheet until I got the request. I just felt it will be updated. Unfortunately, IOM didn't send my medicals till 6th of June.

My advice always send your medical information sheet immediately you do your medicals to save time.

Good day gurus in the house,

I need your guidance to take a decision on my intention to study in Canada. I obtained my B.SC in Computer Science in 2015 and i have been working till date. I am looking at a two different study options (Diploma and Masters Courses) and their visa success viability which is , kindly enlighten me on the following concerns:

1. College Course in IT (Sheridan College)- I will have to source for the tuition and there is no option of study loan for this.
2. Masters in Computer Engineering (University of Manitoba)- There is loan option to finance tuition and other expense but the assurance of getting a visa due to how to show convincing strong home ties since international study loan will be involved.
3. I don't have an immediate family member sponsor, i only have someone who bears different name from my surname who has properties and fund to do it.
4. If i want to be self sponsored how much do i need as proof of fund and what are the required documents to use. I am married with two kids.

Your advice will be highly appreciated.

Regards.

[10k CAD for a single person living expenses but be prepared to show more for self sponsorship. No lump sum deposit.Ability to convince the VO how you came about the fund in your account in correspondence to the work you are doing.Your wife and kid are good home-ties as long as they are not going with you and if you have other properties to show that your incentive to be in Nigeria will outweigh being in canada. Must also pay tuition fee to convince the VO and a maximum well detailed SOP that will allow the VO to flow easily with your submitted proofs of documents SOP should be well spaced out avoiding repetition in paragraphs with emphasis to refrence dates where applicable. Commit the rest to God and it will end in praise.quote author=titade0203 post=114755644]Good day gurus in the house,
