tctrills:A hole you imagined for yourself? ![]() a. On the first day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread, Jesus Christ instructs His disciples to go prepare everything for the Passover meal - Matthew 26 vs 17 - 19 b. Jesus and His disciples have their Last Supper on the first day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread - Mark 14 vs 12 - 17 c. Jesus Christ instructed His disciples to go prepare the Passover meal for the group on the Day of Unleavened bread. - Luke 22 vs 7 - 13 d. It was almost time for the Jewish Passover Festival, that evening Jesus Christ came together for the mean with His followers - John 13 vs 1 - 3 Clearly, one of the accounts has to be wrong! ![]() The law of 2 or 3 witnesses applies only when God has not specified a Truth. In this case, We have God in Leviticus 23 vs 4 - 8 clearly explaining that Passover meals are to be eaten on Passover day, and we have Jesus Christ in Matthew 26 vs 1- 2 declaring that He would be arrested on Passover day. Obviously, you cannot overrule God's declaration by the accounts of witnesses. So, why do you hesitate? ![]() |

Kobojunkie:Of course, no one know's God's standard. That's why if i ask you why hundreds of kids die everyday, you'd tell me "God's plan is different from ours". Isn't that right? ![]() 2. I don't follow at all.Would you know of God's standard if it had not being brought to you by your slave masters? 3. Many of the first Christians came to a knowledge of God without needing to read your Bible first. Open your mind to the time before the books so you realize that God is not limited to the pages of the books. What first Christians? You're not talking of apostle Paul are you? If you, sir, open your own mind to the reality of the world, you'd notice that that which you call "God's standard" had already been set in stone in other regions of the world. Take Hinduism and Buddhism for example, Buddhism is the gospel of the logos which evolved from Hinduism just like Christianity evolved from Judaism. You cannot also claim that the God behind judaism is the one behind hinduism. As a matter of fact, Gautama Buddha's teachings have more substance to it than that of Jesus. You cannot disagree with me unless you put that Christian religion above that of Hinduism, in which case you position as a christian, like others, is based on socio-cultural bias. |

kkins25:1.1. God's Standard refers to God's Law by which all those who are under said Law are Judged by Him. ![]() That hundreds of kids die every day does not have anything to do with God's Standard, nor does it impact it in any form, since God's standard, and Law, has nothing to do with what is your lifespan in this life. For example, God's Standard for Adam included the law which required he not eat of the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil. But Adam defied the standard and so faced God's judgment. That is sort of how God's standard works. ![]() 2. Open your mind! Before your slave masters arrived about 300 years ago, there were Christians living right here in Africa. Places like Ethiopia, Egypt, and even Northern Sudan had churches in existence for over a thousand years. Copies of the Book called your Bible weren't available to a majority of those who were of the belief even then, but they believed anyways. God is not limited to the pages of what you call your Bible, a book that is only still less than 500 years old in its' proliferation. Open your mind. ![]() I gave you the example of Moses, a man who spent most of his life living away from the knowledge of His people and their God and their beliefs, yet he was able to encounter the same God of His People while living out 40 years in the desert. God is not limited to the pages of your bible. Another example is Abraham, a man formerly an idol worshipper before God showed up to Him and caused Abraham to follow Him instead. There are numerous stories of individuals who found God before even the first print edition of your bible was released, before your slave masters were born. Open your mind! ![]() 3. HUh? ![]() You sound like you are rambling at this point for some reason. I believe in previous discussions I have made it clear to you that there are numerous deities out there and each deity can and probably has its own standard for its own followers to cleave to. The God I refer to, however, and speak of is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, not some other God. As I believe I have made clear several times at this point. There are various deities out there for people to choose from but when the standard I live by is that of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. ![]() |
