ETH hasn't mentioned him for the DM or CDM position. He has been very specific about the LCB position. So we haven't replaced Matic and Pogba yet.

Some people on Reddit mentioned that Ten Hag said Martinez can't really play as a DM cuz he lacks 'running power' or something like that. I think the versatility thing is a bit overhyped. Man's a CB.

I think the best time to bring Martinez in would have been the 2nd year into ETH's reign. When we have mastered the act of controlling the game, pressing as a team, tactical fouls from up front and so many things.

Cuz we'll see a lot of last season's uselessness from this team this coming season. And the trolling and hate that comes with underperforming in this team ehhn. Can literally set the tone of a player's career in the team.

We can’t master controlling the game and pressing high as a team if we have slow players like Maguire and Lindelof at CB though.

In order to start pressing high and controlling the game you have to bring in the players that you believe can do it. No manager can turn water into wine.

I'm really worried about our midfield. We can't go into the season as McFred as our main midfield pair
