The saddest and dreadful answer, reply, the answer came from the mouth of Christ to a group of religious zealots who think they can bribe their way to Heaven.
Going to Heaven is a gift, and not by works that we do.
Regardless of how you are, you are not good enough for Heaven.
Christ is the only hope for those who want to make heaven.

Yet in John 15 - 20 and John 15 vs 14 , Jesus Christ explains that those who love Him are those who do as He commands, His friends are those who do as He says, statements further buttressed by His reveal in the entirety of Matthew 25 that only those born-agains who in fact do works of righteousness will be granted entry into His Heaven while the others will end up in Hell instead? undecided

Titus 3:4-7 KJVS
But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, [5] Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; [6] Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; [7] That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

So, are you trying to insist that the declarations of Jesus Christ Himself, the one who is King in the Kingdom of God which stipulates that works of righteousness is the key into His Heaven - Matthew 25 - is a lie while that which you read in Titus is instead truth? lipsrsealed

Help me understand why you raise the above entry into a letter against God's own Truth, Jesus Christ. undecided

P.s. what is written in those Titus verses instead apply to the how of Jesus Christ saving/redeeming the Jews from the Old Covenant Law of Moses in order that they might then be submitted instead to Jesus Christ, God's New Covenant. That letter was addressed to one of Jewish descent, for this reason. undecided

It does not contradict anything because Christ never teaches that a man has to work to go to Heaven.

Man has nothing to offer for salvation.

Like 19:10 tells us that Christ came to seek and to save that which is lost. Man is lost in sin, his only hope is Christ.

Isaiah 64:6 tells us that our righteousness are as filthy rags.

Read your Bible and you come understand the man cannot save himself through his righteousness.
The only righteousness we need is Christ's righteousness which exceeds that of scribes and Pharisees.

Philippians 3:9
Romans 8:1-3
Romans 8:21-22

1. But this is exactly what Jesus Christ, and God did. undecided

Recall on more than 1 occasion, God's voice boomed from Heaven commanding men to Obey Jesus Christ? undecided

And Jesus Christ Himzelf decreed over and over in His teachings that those who obey Him are those whose very foundations are set on the rock that is He - Matthew 7 vs 24 - 29 & John 14 vs 15 - 25. It is against Jesus Christ, the very same one who declared that that those who obey Him will do even greater works He did, to contend that no work is necessary to enter in the what is His Heaven. undecided

2. Jesus Christ did indeed came to save those who are lost, those who are weary and in need of rest - Matthew 11 vs 28 - 30 - and He said to them that His Yoke is light and His burden is easy compared to that of the Old Covenant and the World. He never ever said that there is no work to be done. Instead He said it would be easier and lighter than that which they previously had to do. undecided

3. Isaiah said that in regards to man's standard of righteousness which is tainted in man's sin against God. The righteousness which honors God is that which is obtained from obedience of Him and it is His righteous standard that one can obtain it from, not via man's way and will. undecided

4. Paul’s letters where generally written to a majority Jewish Christian audience explaining to his Jewish brethren how they were all of them saved from God's Old Covenant Law by Jesus Christ's life and death which was lived in submission and obedience to God's Old Covenant Law. By this, Jesus Christ was able to earn and die a righteous death by Old Covenant standard which He then imparts to all the Jews who would follow Him thereby freeing them from the Old Covenant debt they owed to God, and bringing them under His New Covenant, a different standard of righteousness which they would need to work to earn of their own like all others(gentiles) undecided

As Jesus Christ told you, in His New Covenant, you are not here and now redeemed until after the end - Matthew 24 vs 13 and Mark 13 vs 13. Salvation/Redemption happens only after the end, not before. The normal flow is after after death can you be condemned or saved by the Law. While you live the process continues. So, when Paul wrote of those redeemed, He was referring instead to the jews who were bought by the death of Jesus Christ from God’s Old Covenant Law, not you nor the me. undecided
