That’s exactly my point. ASUU strikes are more complicated than limiting it to salary increment. That ASUU refused to call off the strike despite the increment is a good indication that Peter Obi lacked the basic understanding of what the problems were all about.

At national level, ASUU demands even gets more complicated. If Obi becomes president, I see ASUU going on strike for over a year. We must do everything to dodge this Obi bullet.
If Tinubu or Atiku enter power, ASUU go close school for 4 years

Did ASUU go on strike for over 6 months under his watch? If he couldn’t prevent local ASUU from going on strike for over 6 months in Anambra state, how will he resolve the problem of ASUU on a national scale?

National ASUU is currently on strike and their demand is not about salary increment. So, if Obi’s only solution to ASUU problem is to increase salary, it’s obvious then that he’s not the right guy for the job as ASUU demands are far more than salary increment.
They should have aborted a chartalan like you that is intent to make life difficult for the average Nigerians. You will die sorrowfully. The food you are fighting for, even you will die before you eat it. you are a wicked soul

You are a defenerate Bastard. Tinubu will live longer than you and this thing you are wishing on Nigerians. Only you will carry it with your head

Bro, read

Salary increase wasn't the issue, but 'scheme', according to them. Also check the dates. This one says 'November 2010' while the other one you are referring to says 'October 2010'.
They should have taken the increment na, u think a state government can easily implement a salary scheme when fg didn't? This ASUU issue self both ASUU and government are to be blamed. My cousin who is a lecturer explained everything to me.

Are you by any chance believing the bolded?
How much is the Deputy Governor's salary that Anambra Lecturers are earning twice the amount?
Remember, according to the write up, they were only requesting the State government to increase their salary to 80% of what their counterpart in Federal University are earning.
The last time I checked, Professors in Federal Universities are not earning up to 700k monthly, even in 2022.
Did you even read what one of the professors wrote, the salary was met but they need a salary structure, in the sense that even when Peter Obi leaves office it will be maintained.
Please in other facet you might find something against Peter Obi but not when it comes to education.
Obi that I know don't joke with it.
Whatever be, he solved Anambra's strike issues within 6months and it lasted uptil today, even when he left office.
I read where someone said they spent 6months at home cause if strike, the said strike was July to January in the whole of eastern state, even when others went back they still go back to strike after some period, from that time today ANSU have never been on strike, I am not asking you not to check, I am telling you to go and verify.
My sister went to unizik, she was about going to 300 level when my cousin sis gained admission in ANSU, my sister and my cousin graduated same year.
I am not asking you not to check, go and verify.
What ever made Anambra state to stay of strike can work in Nigeria.
If the above assertion wasn't right, I doubt our lecturers will agree.
I rest my case.
I am not saying Obi is a saint, I am saying he is 10timea better than all other candidates combined.

He went for a concrete ND long lasting solution.. not the FG bogus unrealistic promises

In all, there are 2 classes of Nigerian students:

1. A few serious, studious and intelligent students who want to return to school and make good things out of their lives.

2. Majority Carryover-carrying, no life ambitions, cruise-catching loafers who prefer that schools remain closed forever because their future is bleak anyways.

The second group will support and vote in anyone that promises to maintain the status quo. They ain't got nothing to lose. Check out the people supporting Tinubu.

Is it a sin for the students to have chosen Anambra state to further their education?

Lmao so instead of sitting down to dialogue with the people responsible for saving the lives of your citizens and address their needs the answer is to sack 788 doctors? Even a wild beast can’t be half as heartless as some of you should you get small power grin. PO has no Godfather and he’s answerable to the people who elected him to work for them unlike Tinubu who believes that he’s doing us a favour by contesting to be president

At the end of the strike PO was one of the few if not the only governor to implement 60% of the proposed new salary scheme. Till today, Doctors and Lecturers in Anambra remain among the highest paid in the country due to PO’s successful efforts at conflict resolution back then, that’s what true leadership is!

Obi resolved it and gave Anambra State University 5 billion Naira before he left office. He even gave the federal and private universities 100 million Naira each. He provided school buses to all secondary schools. Obi did well in education.

The same article you shared clearly stated that he offered 60% from the beginning of the strike but the doctors remained adamant even after he told them the state couldn’t afford to pay 100%. So to you the alternative is to cut short the livelihoods of 788 breadwinners to prove you’re a “strong man”? Sometimes I wish you guys would wake up and come back to reality
