That's the thread I was talking about. Check the date. 'October'.

This one is November.
What's the difference between October 30 and Nov

Salary increase wasn't the issue, but 'scheme', according to them. Also check the dates. This one says 'November 2010' while the other one you are referring to says 'October 2010'.

Vanguard gathered that the lecturers said they were not interested in the salary increase but a salary scheme that would clearly spell out their conditions of service.

He said with the new salary for the lecturers, they were now the highest paid workers in the state, with professors earning twice the salary of the deputy governor.

https://www.vanguardngr.com/2010/11/we-ve-fulfilled-our-agreement-with-ASUU-obi/

This lie is sweet.

Twice as much as deputy governor, but still not comparable to the governor.

Sweet Lie from idiots to idiots.

That’s exactly my point. ASUU strikes are more complicated than limiting it to salary increment. That ASUU refused to call off the strike despite the increment is a good indication that Peter Obi lacked the basic understanding of what the problems were all about.

At national level, ASUU demands even gets more complicated. If Obi becomes president, I see ASUU going on strike for over a year. We must do everything to dodge this Obi bullet.

Won't he have Minister of education?

Atiku cannot rule this country as an Hausa man, not possible. Buhari cannot hand over power to his fellow fulani man after 8 years in office. It is the turn of the South, a Christian precisely. Know this and know peace.

Did ASUU go on strike for over 6 months under his watch? If he couldn’t prevent local ASUU from going on strike for over 6 months in Anambra state, how will he resolve the problem of ASUU on a national scale?

National ASUU is currently on strike and their demand is not about salary increment. So, if Obi’s only solution to ASUU problem is to increase salary, it’s obvious then that he’s not the right guy for the job as ASUU demands are far more than salary increment.
You can't change my mind. Instead I'm the one who should change your mind.
Peter Obi is not perfect but is better.

The way you guys lie in this platform eeh.
Please can you tell me the reasons why ASUU is currently on strike if not for the review in the salary structure The payment platform, and revitalization funds reasons are secondary.

As a member of ASUU, the main reason for this current strike is the review of salary structure vis-a-vis increment of salary.

I'm surprised!

Can the students recover the 6 months lost?

Is it a sin for the students to have chosen Anambra state to further their education?

Lol...ASUU strike 2010 was a national strike and not limited to Anambra alone! Peter Obi was able to resolve that of Anambra state University unlike other state governors of 2010. Below is a list of times ASUU has gone on strike:

They went on strike because it was a national strike but that was the last strike that ever occurred in Anambra till date (a decision he made 12years ago), he solved the problem once and for all till date, that is the kind of leadership we pray for. As we speak, Anambra state university is open while its federal counterparts are on strike.

He did same thing for the medical doctors. He meets a problem and solves it once and for all. If FG had done half of what he did, we wouldn't be talking of ASUU strike again in Nigeria, that's uncommon leadership.

ASUU is still on strike at the National level in 2022 while Obi solved same problem for Anambra in 2010.

Oga he never increased it, stop deceiving the populace
Same way doctors went on strike for 13 months, he never kept to agreement. The doctors just had to call of the strike when the masses were dying , they had no choice

You do realize that doctors were paid every month that they were on strike same as ASUU right? I have a doctor friend who was working in Anambra at the time that can confirm this and I can bring articles as well. Mind you it was a nationwide strike and their counterparts in Lagos were sacked for striking, what do you have to say about that?

Don't worry when he's sworn into office he will fund the schools appropriately because the will not share the money the way you're expecting that Tinubu will share it for you and your goons ,God forbid bad thing.
