Male or female, what is your qualifications and which side of PH are you? You guys should know how to sell your service. When you bring up an issue like this, I think you are also saying, anyone that can help you get something better should do that but without certain information, how can such person see you for assessment through your post?
Now lets go back to your question, don't go back to your former company, instead accept any of the new offers with the same amount. By so doing you would have gain two experience. Aside that, if you are actually good on the job and your former company ask you to come back, you can bargain for a better offer but the reverse will be the case if you go back to them, they can even reduce your salary or intentionally delay it because they will have the feeling that they are your last hope
Some people's counsel are like ahitophel's. I still love nairaland Sha

I don't think going back will be the right decision. A job of 20k in naija right now is not worth it. personal option sha

I understand your plight bro... but I'm just wondering how you survive with 18k in a month. Highest I can manage 18k on my food alone is 2 weeks.

Let me tell you, if you're waiting for money or laptop to learn a skill you might wait far longer. I learned Web design 10 years ago with Nokia 3110c with partial screen damage and a notebook.

I was using Etisalat then because they give me 10Mb on every #100 recharge. So, I'll use that 10mb to visit tizag, w3school, and nairaland webmaster section. As I'm learning html, css, etc, I'll be writing it down on a notebook.

I got a laptop after nysc, then I started practicing. Today, I sub 120GB/month of which I exhaust in less than a month most times.

The time and data you spend on social media and nairaland can be channeled to a site where you'll learn a digital skill. There are many of them. Forget video tutorials, go for written content.

Remember, 90% of Americans are doing what they don't have passion for to put food on their tables and pay bills. Where I'm driving at here is, learn a skill even if you don't have passion for it. Make the money and then follow your passion.

Don't take this advice for granted.

1. Hello Boss, is it only web programming you're doing currently?

2. How much do you make monthly to be spending that much on subscription?

I need ginger, cos I'm planning to start with the website programming class next month before going onto software development. I have visited two places as regards this programming thing, the first guy encouraged me to learn software development, that I'll easily get jobs with skill as oppose to website programming. While the second guy said I should start with website programming being that I don't have any pre-knowledge in the field.

I need something that'll fetch me instant money the moment I start practicing. So as a pro in the field, I need your help on which one should be preferable, money wise.

As I said before, am speaking from experience (I have seen it many times). His current portal skills can be acquired with in 1 to 2 weeks with someone with an average IQ.

If 3 staff resign in a HOTEL at once, the managers must be stressed. One bad tomato/apple can rotten a whole basket of tomatoes/apples

I am speaking for the health of the organization and not welfare of an unsatisfied former employee.

So as a serious person, you want a staff can leave anytime?

Of course, individual cases are different and it mostly depends on the circumstances surrounding his exit and how long he stayed away. However, I have been on both sides of the divide myself and one thing I know for sure is that most times, employers don't know who's gonna leave until it happens and leaves them stranded. By letting such an employee back on probation, they can get his skills properly dispersed and be more prepared for the exit. The management has nothing to lose. Remember he was a bad tomato before he left. If he couldn't convince others to join then, you think he's in s better position to do that after they've seen him fail? Re-hiring is the employer's way of telling other employees that life isn't necessarily better out there. Besides, employees stay in contact with past colleagues. So a past colleague doing well out there is more likely to take your worker than a returnee.

During the exit process in formal organizations, there is field called "eligible for rehire". Different systems call it different things. This is where it is indicated if the employee should be welcomed back if he decides to come back. If it's a job that supports multiple positions at a time, the answer is 'yes' most of the time. I know cause I've analyzed HR data for multiple organizations.

If your monthly net income is more than your monthly expenses, then I’ll say take up the next available 20k job, while you aspire for something better.
Hopefully, the “hardship” and discomfort that comes with earning just 20k in a month would serve as fuel for your burning desire to get something much better!

If you’re open to relocating, there’s job group I can refer you to on telegram. They also advertise some telecommute jobs too if you don’t wanna relocate.

Please kindly refer me to the telegram channel sir

Why not confirm from your friends or relatives on the island? The amount op is been paid as a graduate in PH is not even upto what a cleaner, gardener or security man collect on the island. But the problem is accommodation issue. Accommodation here is expensive.

Why not try Sales Jobs, we tend to look down or shy away from Sales jobs and most of them pay well. I also worked in an hotel as a Bartender immediately I finished my NYSC in 2019, the pay was also 20k. After 2yrs on the job I decided to quit and start looking for job elsewhere. It was so difficult for me in getting one, I have to take up a Sales job without a fixed pay, the pay was from the sales you make. But the main reason I took the job is to get the experience which I will use to update my CV. After 3mths I applied for an opening in a multinational company which I got the job through the grace of God and the pay is little above 100k with other super benefits. I am also looking up to switch to Tech when I save and aquire the skills.
