Big Brother Naija Season 7 housemate, PharmSavi have come under heavy criticism from his home state, Akwa Ibom, after he made remarks they consider derogatory and demeaning to the people of Akwa Ibom State, GRASSROOT REPORTERS reports.


One of the housemates, Phyna had said during a conversation that most Akwa Ibomites are gatemen and house-helps.


In response to what Phyna said, PharmSavi whose full name is Saviour Akpan, said that was the reason he always hide his surname 'Akpan'.


Many Akwa Ibom indigenes took to social media to register their displeasure over the comments made by Phyna and the failure of PharmSav to defend his people.


They lambasted the reality star for not being proud of his origin, vowing not to support him in the show.

One of the reputable individuals in the military was late Air commodore Otuekong Idongesit Nkanga, who saved General Babangida during a coup d' etat and had also been a millitary governor of different states during millitary regime was from Nsit Ibom LGA and his cousin from the same place, Ikot nya in Nsit Ibom, general Sam Enwang had also been a military governor of Rivers and Ogun state respectively and so many others who had distinguished themselves in different fields so Akwa Ibom state had already been in the global map.
Akwa Ibom state was created from the old Cross River State in 1987 and it's barely 35years and when it was created, it was mostly rural areas as the capital of Cross River State was Calabar. Since people believe that traveling is part of Education, some of our children were sent out to the outside world to go and experience life and be more exposed and some of them came back equipped with refined mindset and are making waves all over but the narrative had long been changed. This could be liken to the first Christian missionary to Nigeria, Bishop Ajayi Crowther who was taken during the trans Atlantic slave trade, he was exposed, mentored, and sent back to Nigeria as a missionary.

Today, Akwa Ibom state is one of the fastest growing and developing states in Nigeria with infrastructural development and believe it or not, the future of Nigeria is in Akwa Ibom state.  As it stands now, it is the only State with a state owned and working airline in Nigeria IBOM AIR.
Akwa Ibom state is the major producer of crude oil that is driving the Nigeria's Economy and also the major producer of palm oil in the Sub-saharan region.
Our deep sea port is under construction and when it is completed, there will be influx of investors into the state and it will be the next destination.
Our Maritime Academy will soon be upgraded into Maritime University.

Good things attract envy but if you still base your ideology on preconceived and pseudo reasoning, you have been left behind cuz the narrative had long been changed.
