If he is denied his PR or citizenship as a result of your reporting him. You would have just succeeded in making an already bad situation worse! I will advise you tread with caution. Hold on a little. I believe he wants to see you handle this with maturity. You might consider calling family members first before taking such a harsh line of action.

From your narrative, I think it's not really about these petty issues you mentioned, rather it's more about the words you trade and bandy with him in your moments of anger and quarrel. When he starts nagging about you not being submissive, simply apologize or if you feel you don't owe him an apology, just remain mute. Words said in moments of anger (especially by most women) can be extremely hurtful, and some men don't forget them easily. You strike me like someone who would retort at every word said! some women believe they must have the last say.

e.g.
Man: you have disobeyed me, this wasn't our initial plan
Woman: In what way have I disobeyed you, oga sabinus, you always play Mr. Know it all. Am I your slave?
Man: You are not submissive
Woman: *laughs and claps loudly* Oh! so, you married me to worship you, you have failed o, if that's what you thought. It's 50/50, nobody is oga in this house
Man: Okay, I will show you that I'm the oga in the house. There can't be two captains in a ship
Woman: Shame on you! go and do your worst!

The man leaves with resentment that his wife has dared him, and thinks of every possible way to prove he is a man. He seeks every means to implement his worst action and teach the wife a lesson without lifting his hands, lest he is described as a violent man or even accused of physical assault. An apology or keeping quiet could have nipped the whole matter in the bud. Since the lady doesn't apologize, he must hatch a plan to prove a point and make you come back on bended knees.

So, madam, this is just an illustration o! I'm not saying that this was what transpired, but that in most cases it's the words that have been traded in moments of anger that precipitate vendetta. I don't think your husband will be so wicked as to deny you (and the unborn kid) access to such an opportunity. He just wants to seize the passport for a while to see whether you'll be humble enough to apologize. I doubt if you have apologized! you're prolly still holding stubbornly to your own threats as well. You guys are in that power-tussle stage most newlyweds go through to establish supremacy - this usually occurs when the couple both have ego issues. Your story reads too one-sided to believe he's that cruel. To be honest, holding tenaciously to an unapologetic stance and claiming you've done nothing wrong doesn't help sometimes.

I'm shocked that some people here are suggesting you report to IRCC to deport him and you have already started taking the suggestion as the best line of action, without firstly exploring peaceful resolution - this is the more reason I mentioned earlier that you are also probably contributing to the problem through your obstinate stance to matters. Seek peaceful resolution first, extend the olive branch, then give some time for him to reflect on your peaceful approach, if he remains unyielding, then you can take the radical approach. One comes before the other!

You typed this with a straight face? Wow! shocked

Women have really suffered cause I cannot believe my eyes this morning.
A husband that can travel with his wife’s passport when she’s heavily pregnant, is not wicked but is waiting for an ”humble apology”.
Because of PPR she should lose all semblance of self respect and grovel to a man that obviously doesn’t have her best interest at heart, God is in control.

I haven't received ITA yet. I've just entered the pool, but I realized another NOC matches my job better. Am I allowed to edit my NOC?

No issues.

You can even change your NOC post ITA if you find that you have previously chosen an incorrect one, see FAQ 26 and 27 on page 1 (so long as you are not PNP whose nomination was directly linked to the previous NOC and your CRS is not impacted).

As you change the primary NOC, remember to update the new details in WE/Employment section if you are replacing one job with another (as opposed to changing the NOC number of the same job).

Who have used the services of vfs London? I just payed 34 pounds for the service now and a representative is asking me to pay additional 16 pounds because I didn't do my biometrics in London.

I live in UK. Is there anyone in uk that have used their services pls. I don't know what the additional money is for since it's not even on their website

But don't you have any recent work experience in the last 5yrs that you can use instead of 8/10yrs ago
I do but it’s not up to the required 3 years … in the past 5 years i’ve worked in customer service for 1year 8 months (but that doesn’t count because of the NOc)… i’m currently working elsewhere and it’s been just 1year 4 months …
Thankfully IRCC says not more than 10years so i’d have to use the paid in cash one to make up.

No practical experience but according to https://visa.vfsglobal.com/gbr/en/can/additional-services

34 pounds is for 2 way courier within UK.

16.15 pounds is package transmission fee.

Package transmission must be paid to any VFS if you decide to submit there but did not do your biometrics with them.

I'm not 100% sure but you only needed to pay for one way courier (which is 20.35) i.e. the payment for VFS to send your parcel back to you and transmission fee (16.15). I assume you couriered it to them or did they pick up from you?

Pay the 16.15 pounds and move on, I would say.

Please if someone convert the whole POF and put in dollar account as a bulk payment, how should this be explained to IRCC considering the six month statement required?

Nikyb:
I didn’t sleep well last night, probably my worst night ever and I’m not even over it yet.
My POF is in Naira because IRCC uses official rate which happened to be around N8.5m for a family of 4. If I change in the black market and put in dom account at the rate of 580 to $ then, it won’ t be enough to meet up the 25kplus CAD for family of 4 so I picked the easiest option (leave it in naira) since that is all we have.
Last night I heard $ is now 710, so that is how all my life savings is depreciating for my eye like that, and ITA has not come. Still waiting for PNP to boost my score if possible since EE is still 500ish now. I’m sad but this japa is like my plan A. Yes I have a job here but I am tired!
I can’t even change the money again at 710 nah, my body is still shaking and I hope putting this out here will make me better

This is really not a time to beat yourself. That is the reality of our country. It will be good to convert your money to dollar so you your fund does not keep losing value and source for alternatives to make it up to the correct amount for your family if possible. If you can’t get it, let’s hope IRCC keeps using official rate and you are good to go, when you get what you want, it won’t matter again. Try to keep your eyes on the goal as the end they say justifies the means. Cheers.

Your best bet was converting it to dollars to start with, regardless. Things can only get worse from here, not better. In addition, putting it in dollars would serve you well when you eventually leave Nigeria since that's likely what you would still have to do anyways before converting it to CAD. Going by IRCC's exchange rate is not even that safe, cos the official rate itself could even go up at any time and that can edge you out based on POF. It's a slippery slope.

Now that this has happened, I'd really just advise you to start holding a separate dollar account on the side, both as a possible addition to your POF in the future and as your preparation to convert to CAD eventually when you get your ITA>>AOC>>PPR. That's your best option in spite of the 700 rate.

Good day house,
I am seeking opinion of the house on behalf of my uncle. His case is kind of complicated and he needs to thread carefully.
He travelled abroad, but after some years he lost his legal status due to some issues he had with his boss at work, the boss reported him and his visa was revoked. Due to his non-legal status and frustration, he decided to start the Canada EE process. While on the EE process, he was looking for ways to have legal status in the country again. The only way at that point was to use an arranged partnership with a lady who's a citizen of the country he resides. He applied for a spousal visa and it was granted. The spousal visa was granted after he has submitted his EE application. I forgot to mention he is married, his wife and kid only visits him once in a while from Nigeria. During his EE application, of course he included his wife and kid in the application, although as unaccompanied for CRS purpose. Now he recently got PPR, but he's concerned about the spousal visa which is still valid on his passport. Will there be a problem if he send the passport with that spousal visa (which was not gotten through his wife included in the EE application)? Will that be term as misrepresentation? because I don't think its possible to be legally married and at the same time be in a common law/partnership relationship with another person. Does IRCC still investigates after PPR? Can a PR be rejected after PPR?
Gurus in the house, kindly advise my uncle before he send the passport, which might trigger something else.

is the spousal visa from another country?

This case is very tricky. It is almost likely that they will enter his details into their system prior to issuing the visa on his passport and on those of his wife and kid. He would need to be super lucky for details on the spousal visa to not turn up, because that would immediately raise a red flag. Naturally, all investigations have been completed prior to issuing the PPR. It's a little surprising the spousal visa application didn't turn up then. Was that done in the US? Maybe the EE process was far gone before starting the spousal thing? You may want to provide more details regarding the country involved.

The bigger problem here is one of misrepresentation. I'm sure it states clearly in the email received by your uncle that he should inform if there's been any change whatsoever in his family composition and that failure to do so will render his visa invalid. If he doesn't therefore inform IRCC, it only takes a few flipping-over of his passport to see a spousal visa sticking out like a sore thumb. With all the information on that visa, it only takes a small computer search on their interconnected systems to reveal the details and show that his family composition is not what he claims. Hence, a possible denial of the visa and likely follow-up ban. And don't forget they are going to flip those pages to know where to put the new visa. He can only get away with it if the employee on duty then were a little carried away. So, to answer your question, "yes, a PR can be rejected even after PPR".

My advice: he may take the risk of sending in his passport and nothing will happen. The chances here are very low. A better option is to just go with the spousal visa and go ahead with what he had in mind originally before obtaining that spousal visa. Was it to divorce the person after a few years and then bring his wife and kid over? That may just be his best option, even though it's not legal. He should think about what he would have done in the first place if he hadn't gotten that PPR and go with that. Otherwise, he could be looking at effectively ruining both opportunities.

Hi, if this issue is genuine reach out to me, I will monitor my mails btw today and tomorrow cs of u
grasiouso:
Please I need help.

My husband seized my Visa and COPR so I’m unable to travel.

I am heavy and due to travel in August with my ticket already booked.

He has travelled already and he took my passport with visa and my COPR and cut off communication with me. He never even allowed me see the COPR cos he had his plans so now I’m stranded in Nigeria and need help on what to do.

Please how do I go about retrieving these documents from IRCC?

A little background:

The marriage has been filled with serious emotional abuse from my husband mainly because I was added to his Canadian EE application. He willingly added me just after we got married and this somehow delayed his getting PPR as it took over 2 years before it finally came. I have seen hell in this 2 years with him constantly blaming me for the delay, then he would accuse me of not being submissive and appreciative of the sacrifice. He threatens me with divorce all the time saying I'm not submissive and he cannot take a woman he cannot control to Canada. Repeatedly tells me he made a mistake marrying me. He tells me no man can ever do what he did for me. That most men will not add their partner to their application and that I'm supposed to be worshiping him. Note that I had to bear all the financial requirements for everything concerning my own.

Yeah I was a learner and has learnt the hard way. Its not every advise on this journey that could be followed. Never knew dollar can crash by 100 in a week. If I change at 700 as it is, if ITA comes, fund will not be enough for POF again. So like you said, its just to hold dollar account by the side and start saving again.

Thanks for your input

What Cochtrane said.

I would say don't think about your money/POF in terms of the official rate which is not a real rate that is available to everyone.

Look at it in terms of the dollar value of the money/POF to you which would be a black market rate unless you are very lucky to get PTA.

I understand that for a given amount of Naira, the official rate gives you more dollars but that's just paper money.

You are in the best position right now i.e. pre ITA. Hopefully you will be able to save enough in dollars and all will be set by ITA or worst case by AOR.

Go use the CRS tool here to check your score. Your ND & HND qualifies as two or more certificates and with 3 years work experience you max out on experience. Use the CRS tool and see where you need to improve.

Thanks for your comprehensive response.
Yes, the spousal visa is from another country.
He applied for the spousal visa before getting ITA for EE and the visa was only approved after AOR.
He did the spousal visa so that he can continue working in his country of residence and at the same time be able to move in out of the country until he's able to transition to another type of visa.
His main concern is not be charged with misrepresentation as he is fully aware of IRCC stands in relation to marriage and change in family composition.

I really do not know what to advise him myself. His only chance is if the IRCC officer is not able to interprete the visa as a spousal visa cos the visa was granted as a visitor's visa but with conditions he must reside with the partner(her name was not used, just her Identity number) and work.

Replace the 481 with 474 assuming you max out your IELTS since you have 2 degrees not a Masters.
