lobatan.. Ikeja capital of western region... continue... werey.
Ikeja was the Commercial Capital of the Western Region was what I meant

Ikeja industrial Estates were even built by Awolowo
All of Lagos State except Lagos Island was under and administered by Awolowo’s Western Region and even Lagos Island was recognised as being inside the Western Region

Ask your elders around you instead of displaying all this Ignorance

This was the Map of Western Region in 1962

Look very well

All Lagos State except Lagos Island the Capital Was in the Western Region

Lagos Island is Less than 3%. Lagos State,

At least 97% of Today’s Lagos State was was in the Western Region

Ikeja Province then included almost all of the City Of Lagos and it was under Premier Awolowo and the Western Region

Yaba, Surulere, Apapa, Oju Elegba, Ebutte Metta , Ajegunle ,Ojora, Festac etc Areas were only leased by the FG from the Western Region

because the FG had run out of Space on Lagos Island or how was the FG going to fit in

Lagos Airport at Ikeja or Tin Can Island on Lagos Island the Capital ?

Don’t argue blindly ask your elders that lived in Lagos in the 1960s they will set you straight

oga go and sit the hell down... my step siblings are aworis from Mowo after Age Mowo
. aworis are not indigenous after Mowo..
they are not in Ajido. Ajara,or Badagry... Infact Badagarians were pushed from current OJo into Badagry now over the last centuries they are the real owners of the land the aworis were the migrants.. if you been there the historical evidence are there..
aworis settlements are new.
Gunnu which is what we actually call ourselves is ancient.
it should be embarrassing to you to be talking about someone's else lineage.. and apparently you ve not left the confine of you village thats why you will say that crown on Akran head is yoruba crown.. am half Gunnu and half Yorùbá.. when your elders are talking go and sit your ass down and shut up ad learn about what you don't know.
You Don’t have a Clue do you?

You are Just Making up lies as you go along

It was the Awori Yoruba that gave their Egun Cousins the Land they settled on in Badagry after they fled the King Of Dahomey’s Slave raiding Wars against their Original homeland of Ouidah in Benin Republic and the Fon Of Dahomey rained down Havoc among all their neighbours because of their desperation to Capture Slaves

Even in Porto Novo in Benin Republic it was the Yorubas that gave refuge to the Egun that fled from the Dahomey Wars against Ouidah their homeland in the late 17th Century

The Dahomey were not great Warriors it was the Portuguese Slave Traders that armed them to the teeth and Trained them in the use of Firearms solely because the Fon Of Dahomey were the most willing to supply their Neigbhours to the Portuguese as Slaves without any Moral Justification whatsoever for War

That was why Dahomey became known as the Slave Coast

Some Portuguese even fought alongside the Dahomeans in their Slave raiding Wars

It reached the Point that Rival Dahomey Princes were waging Wars against themselves in their desperation to supply the Portuguese with Slaves in order to become Wealthy and Powerful

The Portuguese went to the extent of deposing the One Dahomey King that abolished the Slave Trade after he saw how it had decimated his kingdom

It was because of a Serious shortage of Men that the Dahomeans started using Women as Soldiers

If not for European interference the Dahomeans were not a serious Military Power

They always received a heavy Pounding at the hands of the Alaafins Oyo’s Army whenever they

Tried any nonsense , they always ended up sending begging Parties of their Nobles to beg the Alaafin at Oyo and they paid Tribute to Oyo for almost a Century

The Egbas Of Abeokuta killed King Ghezo Of Dahomey and he was Dahomey’s most Powerful King

It was the Portuguese Slave Traders that gave Dahomey Liver

otherwise even the Eguns by themselves could deal with them
