Unfortunately, big business does not work this way. In the case of the NBA, the owners have huge advantages like TV rights, backroom deals and buddy networks that include lawmakers, that ensure any usurper will fail. To make a parallel league to the NBA, you need to get an equivalent amount of rich billionaires to buy in to even have a chance to succeed. It is those billionaires that will wage war with the NBA to make sure parallel league succeeds.

If you doubt this, go count how many competitors google alone has killed in the last 5 years. Set aside a couple of hours to read the list

as long as a team can trade away a player under contract anytime they want, then players should also have the same right to demand a trade whenever they want.
In every other industry, we see it all the time, top guys moving from one company to another while earning millions, but a sports stars tries it and it is derided as if the end of the world is nigh.

Gary only guarded him after game 3, so out of the 3 games they went 1v1, he got the better of MJ from a defensive standpoint 2x.

PS: I am just using this as an example to those who always talk as if the OGs dominated every game, steph and a lot of the current stars have just one or two okay games in a series and people get on their case as if they are supposed to score 40 every single night.

The Celtics offered Brown, guard Derrick White and a draft pick to the Nets for Durant, sources said. As of right now, the Celtics have emerged as a serious possibility as a landing spot for Durant. They have tremendous interest in bringing him in and view him as a piece that could take them over that final hurdle. Although there is work to be done, there is a deal to be had that would suffice the Nets’ overwhelming ask.

At this point, even the pettiest arguments are admitted as evidence. I mean A choked more than B so B must be better. . Very interesting angle that many of us find useful. And unfortunately for the players today the history of their chokejobs are easily accessible, even so some are still fresh in our minds .

Exactly, this is what I keep talking about when people accuse players of asking for trades. JB less than 3months ago was the Celtics best player in the finals and without so much as a heads-up they were throwing him in for a trade. If teams are not going to be held to the contracts they signed, why should players be held to the same.
I just hope when JBs current contract runs out, he prioritizes himself and does what is best for him because the team will always do that.
