I have been preparing myself for this day. Every time I see him at NBA meets, I know its only a matter of time. The way he would smile and be chill with everyone, you could tell this was an elder that been there, done that, seen it all.

The man lived well. I am glad he lived long enough to see what the NBA became. To see the first black president. What a life!

One of the few instances where it's not an occasion for mourning but one for celebration. Sir Bill lived a full and inspiring life. Salud to the olden era GOAT

KD to the Suns is not entirely out of the picture, however, it will take multiple teams, say 3-4 teams to complete the trade. Thing is, KD is going to command a lot and while everyone wants him, only very few teams can afford what the Nets are demanding. The Suns want him because this year might be their last shot with CP3 and they have shown us that Booker is not that guy who can carry a team to a championship.

Running it back with the Nets is not possible if Kyrie is there. But the Nets have made it clear that they want to resolve the KD situation first before Kyrie’s and Kyrie has said he will be fine with staying in Brooklyn. I remember saying on this thread that KD and and Kyrie became distant after the playoffs and have not been close as usual since then. I think everyone involved has come to the conclusion that Kyrie is the common denominator. KD has to take some responsibility for how he allowed Kyrie disrupt their entire season and stayed quiet about it. I don’t expect him to speak about it. I think he believed he could reel the team despite the dysfunction going on.

The management also did a horrible job when the failed to pull the brakes on everyone when the nonsense was going on. Harden left because of Kyrie. He could not deal with it. KD wants stability, I think that is the biggest for him. Also, I don’t think he rates Nash anyways and that is another issue that has not been talked about. The Suns have most of his needs to succeed.

I can see him start the season with the Nets but ultimately leave at some point but for the sake of clarity, it’s best it is resolved before the start of the new season. To your question, yes, Kobe.

Nash sucks, but KD is going about this wrong, burning all kinds of bridges. If he doesnt get traded that locker room will be very awkward. Way to ruin a career.

Such a diva. If I'm Joe Tsai I'm not moving KD without commensurate compensation. If he wants to retire so be it. Besides, DeAndre Jordan, Harden were all products of KDs approvals and outright demands in Brooklyn so it will be hard to convince anyone that he was indifferent about Nash even when Atkinson (that KD did not play for and still made the playoffs without him or Kyrie in 2019-20) was fired whilst KD was rehabbing. Very hard sell this one.

Of all the coaches he could have chosen, why would he choose Nash, a player with no coaching credential? With whom he has no relationship with? E no make sense.

Nash is all front office. The players didnt mind because they thought their star power would overcome in any case. It is now obvious Nash should not be coaching in the NBA.

In this case, I highly doubt Durant chose Nash. For the simple reason Nash was not even a coach in the NBA when KD was coming to Nets, and had no coaching experience even as assistant coach. Of all the coaches he could have chosen, why would he choose Nash, a player with no coaching credential? With whom he has no relationship with? E no make sense.

I mean, we had eyes. We saw KD refuse to select Harden during the All-Star game selection on TNT so he pretty much fueled those rumors himself. I personally think it is easier to accept that they reconciled post-All star similar to how KD and Russell Westbrook reconciled as well. I mean even Lebron and Kyrie have clearly put their differences aside.

As for Nash, while I can also agree that Nash had no experience for KD to leverage on, same can be said about the Brooklyn front office in their hiring of Nash. One thing we can all accept is, Nash foot the bill that KD and Kyrie wanted: communicator, hall of famer and one who would not micromanage them. The Nets always said the 2019 and forward era was the KD era so he must have given his input on that signing.

If their problem was shooting 3s that would even be better. Their offense is so static, it's just KD and Kyrie taking turns, which makes it very easy for good defenses to key in on them because they are simply predictable.
