China is not a democracy. All those nonsense of "human rights", "right to self-determination", are all western rubbish that are applied selectively. Why didn't the US support Biafra or the People of donbass that have been crying to leave their host country?

They focus on Taiwan because its a puppet to defeat China. China will never allow it happen. Whether Taiwan likes China or not is not the issue here, the bone of contention is that Taiwan is an integral part of China, and China must defend and protect its sovereignty and national integrity.

They can also use this opportunity to solve the Taiwan issue once and for all, and return it back to the fold. The US and the rest of the world have no ground for intervention because Taiwanese issue is a Chinese internal affair thing, unlike Ukraine and Russia which are two different countries.
