I don’t think you need a transit visa with a valid UK visa. You will not pass through immigration. I used KLM/Air France to UK in 2019.

Good morning NairaLanders.

Please I need assistance/guidance regarding booking a flight from Lagos to Bradford. I am going with my spouse and I have checked Skyscanner and wakanow for best routes that is affordable and will not require a transit visa.
Between KLM and Quatar airline which is better?
I noticed that the cheaper the flight, the longer the layover. Please I need your comments and suggestions. Thanks in anticipation.

Hi, sorry for the refusal. Just for next time in case you want to reapply, you need to satisfy the visa officer in at least two of these three things: Travel history, Home ties and Financial capability. From the refusal letter, the visa officer obviously wasn't satisfied with your travel history. Home ties: are you single, married, do you have children, are you employed, unemployed, business owner? something to prove that you will come back and are you financially capable to sponsor yourself on a tourist trip to the UK. You did not mention any friend/family in UK so why choose Liverpool? London should have been more preferable. You could attach a cover letter and further documents explaining in details your itinerary in the UK and intention of travel. Wish you goodluck!

Oh wow. I leave the floor to other members of the group because honestly, you already did most of the things i wanted to advise. Some times these things happen. Some people even didn't provide as much documents as you did and got the visa while some who had 30 million etc in their account got refused. Just for next time when you re-apply, they would want you to address those concerns for the refusal.

I notice you skipped some days on your itinerary. Maybe you should have done day by day. About your accommodation, was the reservation in London or Liverpool? Or Liverpool street London?

Hello house please I need your advice, my passport expired while awaiting response on my Visa replacement application, it's been over 11 weeks since my biometrics. A decision has been made on the application and my new BRP has been sent to my school since June. But I am yet to get my passport back, could anyone with similar experience share on how to get back my passport that has expired? Thank you.

And your itinerary was for London. Also, Covid test is no longer required. It actually looks like you didn’t do your research. Maybe give it time, then reapply. But as a first time tourist visitor to Uk, I’d advise you book a place in London. Have a packed itinerary eg visit emirates stadium, Stamford bridge, buckingham palace, Hyde park, covent garden, madame Tussauds, tower bridge, London eye, day trip to Alton towers/thorpe park, London transport museum, shopping on Oxford street/circus, Westfield etc. Also maybe make it 10 days?

Second was why LIVERPOOL?

funny enough i dont even think the large lodgement is the problem because he explained it. Its the lack of research that gave hin away. Liverpool hotel booking. Liverpool isnt a tourist location per se. In his itinerary he explained he's visiting London sites; liverpool is 2.5hrs away by train!

Hello All

I just received my passport with my visa approved. This is a renewal.

Biometrics at Ikeja - 29th June 2022
Application transferred and received by DMC - 6th July 2022.
sent a paid mail and received a response on the 26th of July. The response was decision has been made and i should await receipt of my passport within 10 working days.
Application transferred and received by VAC - 1st of August 2022
Passport picked up by DHL - 1st of August 2022
Passport delivered by DHL - 2nd August 2022.

Documents submitted
Letter of introduction from my office
offer letter from my employer
6 months' pay-slip
6 months bank statement (about 1m balance).
Also had joint bank statement for me and my husband (57m and $30k)
flight and hotel reservation
marriage certificate

Surprisingly, i applied together with my husband but no update at all on his. He also opted for keep my passport.
i sent a paid mail on his behalf and the response was that a decision has been taken. Not sure when they will request for his passport.
Has anyone experienced this before? We always apply together for our previous visas and received back on the same day. This renewal is quite different.
