After so many years…

The bell of ASWAMA has rang in Onitsha!

Soludo is working!

See shouts of excitement by children as they went about collecting Refuse from peoples houses today!

This is good! When you say you will do something, Do it!
Big kudos to the Soludo government on this one.

Until it’s time for payment sha
We await the bill!

I noticed you featured prominently in calling out bad governance in Anambra in the many resurfacing old threads, It's good you have seen the progress made so far over the years..
Those that want to rewrite history before our very own eyes should simply compare your old posts to the present ones and see the amount of progress we have made so far! Nobody can question your desire for a better Anambra.

May God bless Anambra State.

I observed in total dismay that all internal township roads in onitsha, Nnewi and Awka had totally collapsed with huge swimming pools called potholes!

Gov. Soludo must understand that N100 billion naira will scratch the surface of massive infrastructural decay in Onitsha and Nnewi. Not to mention Awka, Ekwulobia, and Aguleri. Unless he uses DIRECT LABOUR!

For Direct Labour to work, he has to plan it differently from the traditional direct labour utilizing ministry of works. He should employ qualified civil engineers from reputable construction companies to design and supervise the direct labourers. He should also invest in road construction equipment to make their work of high quality.

Also, i was shocked that Anambra government was stressing itself on how to raise taxes to generate IGR when there was ample vehicles breaking traffic laws. When Soludo could easily create a Lagos Mass transit authority (LASMA) organization using OCHA brigade. Anyone breaking traffick rule is apprehended and fined 10k or 20k on the spot. They MUST pay via POS into the state account. No cash is accepted for traffic offenses.

Also big vehicles causing obstruction by parking on the road or abandoning broken down vehicles on the road are towed and fined 100k or 200k for trucks with goods. Soludo has lived abroad and knows that many local and city governments get their entire funding through issues of tickets against traffic offenders. So this idea should be quite obvious to him.

On just sanitizing Anambra roads and enforcing traffic laws, Soludo will get enough IGR to execute any project he wants. Moreso, people will praise the sanity and law of heavy traffic from blocked road junctions. Gov. Soludo must think outside the box to increase IGR and not merely the easy option of raising taxes.

Soludo must see the abundant financial opportunity in enforcing traffic rules and fining the abundant offenders according to their offenses. Enforcing traffic rules alone can double Anambra's IGR without even raising taxes on the already impoverished citizens.

It's less than 5 months of CC swearing in, why make a claim about "Massive Infrastructural Decay?

Don't mind them. That fat, lazy commissioner of works ifejiofor abandoned maintaining roads and clearing drainage to tell us the runway at anambra airport was longest in Nigeria.

From the looks of it, Soludos commissioner of works doesn't have much brain either.

Mktinsight the jobless frustrated pampers wearing clown. We know how bitter and frustrated you have come to be since Anambra delivered a worldclass international airport. You fought against this airport like a witch you are even when it was on drawing board, today it has been delivered, that's why you are going naught. Yes, Anambra now has the longest runway and best airport, hug a transformer. Miserable clown like you that sleeps on nairaland is attacking commissioners that have successfully rose through their careers as an engineers but you are here camping on nairaland like a monkey. Mktinsight aka abuzz33 go and find something to do with your miserable life, you can never have your evil ways on this thread.

Noticeable efforts to beautify public spaces in the state are going on!

Meanwhile, its refreshing to see that the airport is still being developed gradually. Avio bridges installation being finalized.

God bless Gov. Soludo and former Gov Obiano wherever he is, for his courage to concieve and execute such transformational project for the state!

God bless Peter Obi for helping to conserve the funds utilized in executing the project!

I am surprised. Because, the "Massive Infrastructural Decay" sounds foreign with what we keep reading here.
My major concern is Soludo, let him not end up as Obi or Obiano, that's not progress, he ought to outperform them combined.
May Anambra succeed.

From ur first paragraph you have just simply told us that Obiano did nothing in Anambra in terms of infrastructure. Which is very true. If not why are u in total dismay that all internal township roads in onitsha, Nnewi and Awka had totally collapsed with huge swimming pools called potholes? So it’s true that Obiano didn’t fix any road in Anambra neither did his lazy commissioner of works do anything at that tym.
