This your idea of constructing stadiums with traceable roofs is quite funny, you know...
Okay, let's say African countries spend millions of dollars to build stadiums with retractable roofs just for the purpose of hosting AFCON and protect the game from the rain, then how about the people outside? Imagine you are in Lagos, an AFCON game between Nigeria and Ghana is going to take place around 5pm at the "state of art retractable roofed national stadium" in Surulere, but it's raining heavily.. How do you get there? you will brave the rain?
I'm very sure the air conditioned Stadiums Qatar built for the world cup can stay cool even in June, but for very obvious reasons, they still moved the tournament to November.
No matter how much we try, we can't defeat nature..It's the fact..

In my opinion, the best suggestion is for CAF to make the AFCON a 4 year tournament! I've said it severally..There's no need for a 2 years AFCON. When something is too available,it's value reduces..... It will also give the host countries more time to prepare.. Since 2010, no AFCON tournament ha taken place in the designated host country due to frequent last minute changes. .
We can introduce something similar to the nations league to cover for the period of no AFCON...It's a win win for everybody..
Four years is good.

Arthur Okonkwo secures his first cleansheet in only his 2nd league game of the 22/23 season in EFL League Two.

Played all 90mins, making 3 saves as his side Crewe Alexandra won 3-0 vs Harrogate Town.

Tariq Uwakwe also had a good game. Played all 90 as well.
Good development for the young lad, hope he comes good as quality keeper

Asides this, FIFA has "the development of the game" (especially in developing countries) as one of it's core principles. So the onus is on FIFA to live up to its ideals. Asking developing countries to invest funds they do not have to build stadiums with roofs is ridiculous. Most African countries as it is do not even have enough funds to run their day to day operations, but their governments when necessary put of funds to build facilities where necessary just because of what the game means to us. To insist on building stadiums with roof primarily to accommodate our European counterparts is elitist at best.

The core issue here isn't business, it's the disregard they have for Africa, because when push comes to shove, they make adjustments where necessary. Didn't the league go on break during the pandemic? Abeg make we hear word.
Everytime other parts of the world have to make room for Africa. Cry cry baby. Dey there and expect that a space will be made for you at the table. It's all about power. You force your way in. Nothing is given.

The way Nwakali is hyped on this forum he should be playing for Real Madrid lol
A player that ought not even be talked about or if at all once in 5 months is who gets mentioned here on a daily basis as if he's one player with stardust quality. It's a shame. Not to Nwakali but those who hype him under the guise of talking up his qualities. He's got no quality. If he has he won't be where he is.

I understand we also have Udodi Onwuzurike in the Men's 200m final and it would come up before the Women's 200m final. About less than 30mins apart.

And both will be running from Lane 6 in their respective finals.

Sure thing man, I'm on top of it. wink

If I'm partial towards a player it does not blind me so much that I cannot be objective. Football like every other sport is performance based. Let me borrow the komeknian phrase and say that in the here and now Nwakali is a shrub in the field of football. For me football for Nwakali is just for earning a living. Chikena

when one is being honest here they will tag you a hater

Many here I doubt loved nwakali the way I once did when he emerged after the u17 World Cup. I had so much hope and faith in him and tipped him as the heir to Jon obi mikel but I gave up on him when he couldn’t strive during his loan stint with lowly rated eirdivisie side then vv venlo

The fact that people still talk here about K.Nwakali when there are so many other lads I have dropped today that can be talked about tells you exactly that the problem lies with these talkatives and not Nwakali.

They enjoy being broken Records saying things that are either stale or repetitive.

Boredom has dealt with them big time. Lol

The only way to crave attention and engagement is to talk about Nwakali. Mtcheewwww. Cheap. grin

Even if you "hate" him it doesn't change the facts.

In the light of our thin midfield I'd have loved that he plugs that hole but he's not got the quality abeg.
