So a few weeks ago, I decided to become a freelancer on upwork. By the grace of God I have gotten a few jobs.

The issue is that immediately I got my first job, I was asked to verify my identity.
Now, my nin is not within reach. My voters card is not yet out and because I no longer use the phone number via which I registered my nin, I can't get the new improved slip.

The 7 days countdown is almost up. I need help. The details are my original details.

MY QUESTIONS:

Can't I verify with a fake drivers license?

Can any recreate my NIN slip, I have a picture of it, but it's of low quality (do they even accept it)?

Please help me. I don't want to be a lazy Nigerian youth.

It was successful and i got verified within 24 hrs.

Just make sure your Profile name and NIN slip name are 80% same, and picture too.

Note : I selected Government ID

I did no Video Verification.

I uploaded the necessary information(around 6:00pm) , nothing happened came next day but woke up to have gotten verified the a day later(in the morning).

It's very possible though.
But you need to get your first job(either through Direct Contract or Accepted Proposal - Hire) before verification.


You just need a good Profile(General or Specialised) and proposals to get jobs on Upwork. Upwork algorithm dey always Bleep up sha, e fit filter your proposal from top five.
Just make sure you apply for jobs that have less than 5 to 10 proposals, jobs that no one has been interviewed yet , and one with a client that has high higher rate. Make una no waste your Connects oooo

I no fit buy connect make person child no come gree gimme work.


I hate Upwork for that useless Connects. It's a scam.
They still sell Connects even after taking 20% of your money.

Hello chief, can you share a picture of your slip (you can obscure you personal info for privacy)?
I have a slip but it's been trimmed that the slip is very short showing my biodata only. I'm worried if this will be accepted during verification or not. Thank you

Your account would be temporarily locked if you haven't been verified so you can't get any jobs.

And even when you eventually get verified, don't waste your connects applying for jobs, take your time to upload projects in line with your skills on your profile. This would make prospective employers know that you have what it takes to do the job.
