So I just received my stamped passport back. Abuja VFS to Accra seems to be relatively faster these days. The process took less than a month compared to the last time(first ppr) I submitted which took almost 6 weeks. Here is my timeline:

Submitted Passport: 14th July, 2022
Counterfoil Generated: 29th July, 2022
Returned back to Abuja VFS: 3rd August, 2022
Delivered to office: 8th August, 2022

A friend had an altercation with the Nigerian Police 6 years ago. He was threatened that they were going to deal with him because he refused to settle them but rather took them to court. He won the court case and felt that was the end.
He recently discovered that they went ahead to share malicious news and his details with different blogs after the case 6 years ago.

Some days ago, a foreign employer drew his attention to what he found about him on Google: The crazy blog stories.

The issue now is:
How does he go about clearing his record? The embassy would have felt he lied when he said he had no criminal record.
Does he submit his court decision?

It's wise to ask a professional familiar with the law to be sure.

If it is certain that he has NO criminal record, maybe an LOE works to explain away the negative news. I guess it also depends on what exactly the issue was. Some things are more serious than others...petty theft vs drug trafficking, for example. He should get legal advise especially as a prospective employer has made him aware that the info is out there.

Should i put the company name anywhere in personal history or attach an LOE explaining that the company was never used for any business activities.
This said company has no structure, never done any business and address used for registration is her home address.
PS - when someone googles my name, the company comes out on d search showing me as Director and secretary.

Yes, it is arbitrary for IRCC to do that. I know someone whose spouse sponsorship app got AORed April 19, no PPR but another's got AORed April 27, the latter's spouse is in Canada as of August 8.

please has anyone ever experienced delays with update of medical results? Added a newborn and did upfront medical results which they asked us to scan and upload. I called IRCC and they confirmed they received the medical results over 3 weeks ago....I am suprised it is taking so long for them to update the profile with the results

Just walk into any Studio24. The transmission fee is currently N9,410

the guys at the point of entry dont know about the 25% rule. They will count all the balance. But abeg use only 25% and have extra cash in the account. Chances of being asked for pof at point of entry is less than 5% too

happened to me and many others alike. medicals was done 18th march and passed 28th May. it can take a while or take no time at all. IRCC is unpredictable. just keep resending and make sure to upload in the required placeholder if any

BIL for spouse - 2nd June 2022
ADR :Remedicals for me and medicals for spouse 7th June 2022.
ADR : PCC for spouse 24th June 2022
ADR :upfront medicals for spouse - 28th July 2022 (This was previously sent via webform, but I uploaded the same medical information sheet given at the clinic since it was barely 6 months since the medical was done.
MEP- 29th July 2022
PPR 2- 9th August 2022.

Pls I need clarification in regards to sending our passports to VAC. My spouse and I live in different countries, can we send our passports differently to the nearest VAC close to our locations or we have to submit it together to the same VAC? He is the primary applicant.

I think both passports need to go to the same VO so definitely send together even if it requires you posting to the PA's location

If you know your VO, send direct email to them with your UCI number as the email subject and "eMedical Form". Remember to attached the eMedical form. It's works for me as my upfront remed Medical passed 2 days after i sent the email

thank you. I have sent a couple of emails to them on it. I received ADR for babys documents and uploaded the baby's documents in May actually. They added her in June and the upfront medicals was part of the documents I submitted. I however called IRCC to find the status of the application and they told me a comment was made on ny application that they were awaiting baby's medical results.

I then raised a webform and sent several emails with it....and on July 19th...they noted in my file that medicals now received and being evaluated.

I am just suprised that to evaluate and update my profile with the medical results is taking almost another month.
