Nice to see and feel the enthusiasm and excitement rekindled amongst Nigerians.

Experience and life lessons have thought me to be more cautious in enthusiasm and excitement, though.

After all, the Sai Chanji buzz was this loud if not even more at the time.

It would be sad to see people's hearts and expectations dashed as has been the usual story should PO go on to win.

Bubu did one thing well though a d that's the signing of the reformed electoral act bill and for not being partisan about his approach towards previous recent elections and the upcoming ones.
I hope he will keep it up till 2023.

if Buhari knew or understood what was in that electoral act, he wouldn't have signed it.

That was why they were hell-bent on its amendment immediately after it was signed

He does know and had made it clear from the onset that he was going to leave a legacy of free, fair, and credible elections.

If indeed he was up to no good, he'd have interfered in most of the elections held under his watch.

He could have also single-handedly picked his preferred part man as a successor and used the state machinery to rig and instal that candidate as had been the style in our politics.

Why do think the single "Emilokan and Obidients" was released and making the rounds?

Buhari's greatest legacy is the amended electoral bill he signed February 25th this year.

His departing legacy is to mot interfere with the election in anyway. Let Nigerians truly decide.

He was forced to sign it after refusing to do so on two occasions.

Dude is leaving a legacy indeed. Love or loathe him, I commend and respect him on this.

I don't think any one of today's candidates would have had the resolve, focus, will, and defiance to achieve this very fundamental fit for the future of Nigeria.

That has always been the story of Nigeria, sadly.

The previous is always appreciated and lauded than the incumbent or present.

That is my fear going forward should any of today's candidates win.

There was already a two-thirds majority to override his veto power before he accented to the bill after he told the NASS to amend some sections they refused still today.
In another development, when the NASS saw that the super delegates were not part of the new electoral Bill, it was then amended but Buhari refused to sign it because the NASS didn't include his preferred amendments.

Buhari signed the electoral law under duress.

The Obi Tsumani is coming.
The structure is gradually forming.
Some people in this country do not have a sense of history.
Abiola chose a fellow Muslim as running mate, it didn't work.
As a military head of state, the present President of Nigeria chose Idiagbon as deputy, it didn't work.
As the American philosopher, George Santayana, said: "Those who refuse to learn from history are condemned to repeat it."
Wisdom teaches that in a multicultural, multi-religious society, those at the helm of affairs should be keenly sensitive to the sensitivities of the populace.
The present division of Nigeria should never be heightened but healed.
A WORD IS ENOUGH FOR THE WISE.
Hope you will not hang yourself if Obi failed to win the election. You talk too much ObidiEND

Buhari signed the electoral law under duress.

I disagree with your submission.

He was under no duress whatsoever and could have ended his reign without as much as looking at that piece of legislation.

From my observation.

What actually buoyed Buhari on to take the electoral reform up as a pet project was as a result of what he suffered at his past elections and what PDP showed him righing-wise.

If Buhari didn't take this bold and apt step, the wouldn't be the buzz of Obidient today and like previous administrations, nothing for happen.

Abi no be this Nigeria?

Buhari could have conveniently chosen his successor from his party, funded and used every instrument of State to ensure victory for his candidate and party then go ahead to boast to Nigerians that APC will be in power for the next 50 years.

The truth is it will take us more year's to find someone in the mould of Buhari who would take up one of the many ills plaguing Nigeria to deal with and deliver on it without getting distracted.

The major distractions usually come from all that we are currently faced with like insecurity, hunger, dwindling economy, corruption etc.

To get it right in Nigeria with the way the rot has gone, as a President, you need to block your ears and feelings to every side talk and attacks.

Can somebody zoom this picture and do head counts?

I can only count about 96 people all together and election is less than 6 moths away and yet they are saying they are the next president baa?

Ok nah......

In life if they are deceiving you it is better but the moment you started deceiving yourself then only God can rescue you.

I have never seen a people that are filled with hate for other people just because mother nature grace them with different tongue, I have never met Igbo person who is not a Muslim that doesn't hate other tribes and they are ever ready to gang up against you for nothing just because you are a Muslim.
Mind you i was an obi fan before, because i believe he's a younger candidate and will connect more to the youths, but his antecedents towards the Nigerian state spoil the stew.
Liar. Which antecedents towards the Nigerian state? More figments of your imagination?
Air them out let’s see.
Antecedents like the part where he said he doesn’t believe in one Nigeria?

Imagine Tinubu with his shaky hands signing partnership agreements with western powers in front of world medias. God forbid!!
And dailymail of the UK comes up with this headline: Nigeria's Tinubu could not sign the energy agreement between the EU and Nigeria due to "uncontrollably shaky hands". cry

To be sincere I won't be mad if he can't sign, the major issue is he will use shaky shaky hand and signed that Nigeria has become a colony of the western world and our assets and human resources are under the western power that should be your main grouse. Don't ever make light of issues for poor coordination it has annihilated empires grin grin cheesy

One thing I can say about Peter Obi, is that the way Nigerians expectation is high, once he gets their mandate as their President he will not want to disappoint the trust reposed in him. I can't say that about the rest. They reek of disappointment on arrival. One even choose same religion as running mate, I am so happy for that error in the first place. We now know better. Keep mis- calculating, Obidiently yours. Bana
