Its not like the FG doesn't know that ASUU of today is even more resolute than ASUU of IBB era who were even chased out of the staff quarters but didn't buldge or give up.
Ghana spent 2years of strike to get it right. Maybe Nigeria wants to toll the same path ours may even take 3 years who knows.
Funny thing is that University teachers are skilled workers who cannot easily be replaced. Even if you decide to higher foreign lecturers no right thinking PhD will leave his country to come and collect the slave wage being paid to lecturers in this country.
When FG is ready they know what to do for now they have election issues to think of and students can go to h3ll for all they care.
if you had made this comment in my front, stabbing you would have been the best option

Buhari with the support of most zombies only negotiates with his BH boys and bandits. ASUU are fighting a good fight but only the government will end up turning the people against them. Their trademark

You think they are threatened to lose elections due to your strike ? If they felt threatened they would have reacted & called off the strike.

By now, E suppose don clear you for eye say these people get ulterior motives. You better negotiate with an incoming government that has 8 years to implement what you signed with them. Signing with an outgoing government is rubbish, he has no time to implement it. An incoming government can easily claim it wasn’t him who signed it, or oil price has gone low, or other excuses. Stop this strike, it’s not bearing fruits. You people are becoming like the FG you castigate. Final year students have been in final year for 2 years now.
After 2023,, “failure to consider the people” would be the biggest threat to politicians and their Elections,, and no more “the failure of considering fellow politicians”.

Its a shame actually. And i dont understand why pdp will go into an agreement they cant fulfil.

Apc inherited this problem and they have been trying to renogociate what they can actually fulfil.

ASU on the other hand are just seeking more money not for the benefit of the students. We all know professors lecturing in 4 to 5 universities and using junior lecturers to in our institutions but yet the money is not enough. They have ghost workers. This people are rich and they are still demanding for more.

And when the President of the same association was asked if it was ok for them to see students sit at home without going to class, he said its a sacrifice the students have to make. (IMAGINE?) Why should the students make that sacrifice? Thats evil.

The agreement they signed with PDP is just unfair. The payment system only guarantees more money for them, is not that it will improve the teaching standards. What they want truely is that they want their share of the National Cake. No be lie.

2023 is by the corner, lets assume Peter Obi becomes the next president he will inherit this same problem. My questions to Obi now is will he accept the terms PDP agreed? Or will he renogociate? Cause I firmly believe ASU will not renegociate.

If you have been through the 4 walls of a higher institution you will understand. Students have been paying the price since the years of the Ancestors, not just this present regime and am sure the next regime will dance to their raggae and blues.

Conclusion.
ASU we don tire for una. Na under una watch private institutions full the country. Now e dey pain una...they won cash out.
bro i was looking out for a comment like this.
You perfectly said it all.
May God bless you with more knowledge and insights

phd holders that produce have baked graduates. Maybe we need foreign PhD lecturers to help produce graduates that will be useful in driving our economy forward. Lazy lecturers that will not go to class until a week to exam.
As a lecturer if those you graduates are not employable, the blame is 100% yours. Those lecturers are the reason for our backwardness as a nation

How do you expect ASUU to resume work when you promised to implement the recent renegotiation agreements by March 2023? The first one enter voice mail o

FG should stop deceiving Nigerians and please honour the agreements otherwise this strike will likely hinder APC chances in the Presidential elections.
ASUU can't use election to hold FG or APC to ransom, if that's what they hoped to achieve by going on strike close to election then they've grossly miscalculated. APC will only depend on bribery and rigging to win.

As for prescribing ASUU, i have nothing to say about that, but ASUU are guilty of prescribing student unions on various campuses. They will even call welders to seal off the students union buildings.

Can I announce to you that there are many PhD graduates outside waiting for such an opportunity to grab. Keep deceiving yourself, the professors and many PhD lecturers who ought to have retired due to old age are the ones holding your destiny nd you're here splitting nonsense. Do you even know how many PhD graduates teaching in Secondary schools or Colleges of Education??

those ones na lecturers? People who produce have baked graduates don’t deserve what lecturers from other countries that graduates students that are useful in driving their nation forward. Those so called lecturers don’t do what they are suppose to do but what FG to yield to their demands. Students pay fees to be thought and those go to class one week a whole semester and our students don’t complain. They graduate students that are unemployable yet no one blames them

Thank you so much for saying that.

Some of these lecturers only know how to turn up for classes two weeks to the exam to start teaching what I don't know.

Some of them conduct classes that are so boring that you start to wonder what are they even doing in the teaching profession.

I don't even want to mention those ones that are only good in financially and sexually exploitation of the students put under their care and guidance. sad

They claim that they are intellectuals and yet Nigeria is still intellectually backwards like this.

Why can't the intellectuals think of other ways of solving their grieviances with the Federal Government without having to put every other person's lives out there on pause?

You people need to stop this wickedness and return back to the classroom.

Honestly, some people have been in final year for two years since 2020!

Don’t talk about voting right here.

ASUU has gone on strike on every administration.
Sadly, if a new government comes next year, they’ll do the same thing.

Talk about them calling off this unbearable strike first. When students are back in classes, then you can talk about voting right.

FG hasn't paid them salary but said they should resume work.

FG has just promised part of the conditions but said they should resume.

FG has always played ASUU trick but said they should resume.

FG expects ASUU to work with debt on their heads and empty stomach in their families.

Stupid and heartless FG
