I have always analysed Ndidi and even defended his qualities overtime but I have also come to accept with time and after enough and satisfied observation stretching 5-6 seasons that Ndidi has really got a ball-playing flaw which impedes his evolution into an elite well rounded CDM.

And my analyses and use of those words, "Ball playing", "Destroyer DM" and much more have since dropped and been used here and on twitter before Squawka released those tackles rankings.

But he's unfortunately underpar in the Ball-playing aspects of the same role and this is a huge feature of the Best and the finest well-rounded CDMs on the planet today. Kimmich, Rodri, Casemiro, Busquets, Fabinho, just to mention a few.

So defensively Elite but Ballplaying-ly Poor.
