Below is the over all picture from Google map compared to Ibadan city at the bottom of all the SE maps.
From the Google map, you will realise that there is no high population density in the SE states as a whole sir. Development is just concentrated around certain streets and areas. That explains why it is true fact that Igbo population is a minority population and clean data of national demographics even from INEC have since confirmed this.
Those storeyed buildings pictures remind me of Isale Eko family houses especially those around Iga Idungaran. Those are not skycrappers, if you want to see skyscrappers come to Lagos Island and Victoria Island, Lagos. Even Lekki, Ikoyi, Ikeja and Yaba still has more skyscrappers than all you are showing there sir. My advice to the South East states governments including Anambra state is for the state government to improve security in those expanse of bare unoccupied places and encourage people to move there. There is so much undeveloped spaces because the population is small despite the small land mass.

To even think that ONITSHA ISN'T THE CAPITAL OF ANAMBRA STATE
THERE IS NO PLACE IN THE WHOLE OF SOUTH EAST THAT YOU WILL DRIVE FOR 3MINUTES WITHOUT SEEING CONCENTRATED BUILDINGS
LET ME ADVISE YOU.:CHANGE YOUR MINDSET
Never mind since you are not getting it. I do not need to visit Oshogbo or Ibadan to know that they are far more urbanized and high dense populated cities to know so how I now need to visit your own to find out does not make sense. It is not about mindset. It is same Google satelite feeding me the information.
I am not saying that Anambra is desolate but the population is low, the land area is small yet only small areas are built up.
It is the fact from the satelite and has nothing to do with the people or tribe except if you now want to blame the satelite.

Anambra no be your mate, this is from CBN, Anambra is forth largest economy in Nigeria after Lagos, Rivers and FCT, second urbanized state in Nigeria after Lagos
FreeStuffsNG: Okay sir. Below is a satelite image still showing far more places which development can reach but yet to be developed.
The storeyed buildings may not really be necessary or just be replicated in those unoccupied areas if there is enough security and human population in Anambra. The real issue is security and low population.
If you look at the Oshogbo satelite image you will realise the issue with the Anambra built up area is not really about storey buildings but low human population.
It's strange You're not informed, yet you claim to be. Those areas you mapped out are highly developed, run an overview satellite image of Nkpor, Obosi and you'll see wonders.

Ibadan which is the only city in Oyo is largely covered by mud houses.
You are referring to just few streets in Onitsha and Anambra as a whole but when you compare size of built up area in Ibadan and Oshogbo from the Satelite images, you can never even refer to Anambra state as urbanized .
There are just few built up areas and the rest green and unoccupied in Anambra despite having small land mass, mostly bare and unoccupied but Ibadan and Oshogbo are showing large areas of built up spaces to prove it is urbanized. These two cities of Oshogbo and Ibadan are equally very large so if Anambra that is small in land mass still has a lot of unoccupied areas, then it is low populated and low urbanized. From Satelite image, Abakaliki seems to be even more urbanized
I did not create the satelite images. I am just drawing your attention to the fact. It has nothing to do with emotion.
Almost all Ibadan is a slum, but not all. Same goes to Ogboso and Many other places like that.
Ibadan which is the only city in Oyo is largely covered by mud houses.
Now you are being petty after being enlightened on our outsiders see and interprete an urbanized place from google satelite images. I am not going into childish debates that are low up there.

Please argue with Google satelite. I did not create the google satelite and the information and numbers behind the information in the images do not have emotion.
I do not even need to be a Nigerian or visit Igboland to know and come to the conclusion from those satelite images that Anambra and most parts of the SE have small land mass, large expanse of bare undeveloped land areas and low human population. The few small areas that are built up are like dots in a large expanse of bare undeveloped areas.
Those built up areas may have beautiful houses, streets, industries etc but they are very small compared to the size of bare lands.
The current low urbanization of Igboland is largely due to environmental factors ( e.g natural disasters like gully erosion, hostile weather conditions caused by climate change etc) lack of security in those large unoccupied bare lands, low Igbo population, emigration of indigenes and the fact that non indigenes are not attracted and incentivised to migrate to Igboland to urbanize it.
You should be more preoccupied with how we can reverse those push factors depopulating a large part of SE. It is absolutely important that Igboland is not left behind.
As we type here there are places in Nigeria that have reversed such trend and doing well today. The Oshogbo and Ibadan you mocked now have more of pull than push. Same goes for a place like Asaba, Nassarawa state, Ogun state, Uyo etc

Argue with Google satelite please since you have no solution to the push factors I have listed for why Igboland is the least populous yet have strong push factors despite having one of the least diversity in population because non indigenes hardly migrate to Igboland.
Those are characteristics of places that are not urbabized but these problems can be reversed.

Nkwelle remember these are Onitsha sub towns, yet to visit Awka and the neighbouring town or Nnewi and it neighbours This is Obosi in Idemili local government
DOTian: Naturally, Onitsha should be designated as a city for only serious skyscrapers. Infact, the whole cities in the east should consider having a collective master plan on this. The high population density in this area makes this the best option. The Chinese did exactly the same thing and that has helped with providing quality housing for their teeming populatio.
I agree with you, but what I think is stopping this is constant electricity supply. And it's costing us a lot
Dude ran when he realised he is about to be exposed..
Na all these tinubu urchins, they believe all eastern states are below standard.. They are even ready to compare sokoto, Maiduguri or kastina to Onitcha or any Eastern town..
You can even see the fool mentioning nasarawa state as developing more than any eastern state..

".... Anambra built up area is not really about storey buildings but human population." how does that make sense to you? A built up really means HIGH density of population. You really have some serious inferiority complex. Jeez.
Here's some advice, better go and build up your osogbo

Ridiculous
those stvpid fvcks have never left their mud dwellings, but they tend to be too loud with their ignorant takes. Someone was comparing sometime ago, Aba with Ibadan, In terms of population and manufacturing. Lol
The problem with Nairalanders is they never learn. Anambra only has reasonable space around Ogbaru and the areas between Awka and Kogi State. The rest of the State is either fully built, half built or reasonably built. Even from same google map closer look will reveal there is semi connurbation from Anambra to Imo State almost all the way down to Owerri. Southeast especially Anambra and Imo are very densely populated only surpassed by Lagos.

Oga NURTW illiterate, your submission is pointless, we are more minority than the Igbos, I am in Abuja and I have only met a single yoruba person in the past 2 days but I have met countless Igbo in just 3 days. Let's stop deceiving ourselves. Awon Ibo po gan.

The disrespect
Apart from Lagos state, I don't think there is any other state in SW can measure up to Enugu, Anambra or Imo state.
