My opinion is clear. He got the opportunity in Dutch league and bottle it.He came from no where to coach eagles with no experience like Keshi who coached Togo and Mali and even qualified tiny Togo to WC....He criticised a lot and always see himself as Mr know it all,he berated Keshi and Siasia at any given opportunity, check his comments out in Emma Babayaro podcast, talking trash about Mikel who remain only Nigerian to spend good eleven years with top club in Europe.Fact,Mikel had fruitful career than Oliseh but trying to compare Mikel and Ndidi just to negate Mikel.

Pls compare John Fashanu interview in Emma Babayaro podcast with Oliseh and see intelligence and class

Yes he is black but coaching regional club and still out then not good for his coaching career.

Oliseh did not bottle it in Sitaard. He was asked to fix matches and refused to do it. That is not bottling. You can critique his attitude but I think he still needs encouragement to try again because he is brilliant.

Still don't understand why Iwobi passes long balls with such good technique.

But the only shot he had in that game, he went for power.

If he envisages the goal as a pass, he would score much more easier.

I have talked about this too. Look at this Yaya Toure's goal against Sunderland. It was a long pass technique he used to score the goal. I wonder why players gifted in giving accurate long balls do not try this shooting technique.

No thegoodjoe,.fixing matches? That was serious allegations that European football union don't joke with..I remember John Fashanu and Bruce Grobellar match fixing saga.Oliseh attitude failed him in Sittard not about fixed matches.

Brilliance?Pls watch Emma Babayaro podcast and compare Fashanu and Oliseh. If Oliseh is brilliant he will not rubbished Mikel in that interview. He wanted to continue as if he has something personal again Mikel but was cut off . When Obi came to Lagos for his grassroots foundation,he was asked about Oliseh interview and his answer was what I will call brilliance,he let it slide with respect.....make Oliseh try it with Osimehn.

This praise by Bruno shows how much impression Osimhen is making in Italy.

On Osimhen's greatest attribute, Giordano said : "The header. In this fundamental he is even stronger than Cristiano Ronaldo."

Close, but I do not agree. Osimhen is not even the best header of his age group.

After two years without a club, in March 2020, Oliseh stated that he had turned down "two jobs from Belgian clubs", but that he waited for the right offer.[13]

In June 2022, he was appointed as the new head coach of German club SV 19 Straelen.

So Oliseh spoke against Mikel therefore he's become the devil to the extent that some get their kick from the news of his sacking? He was asked about both players and he made his choice. I actually watched that interview and I really did not read anything into his comments about Mikel. Even Mikel himself kept quiet and has not said anything about it.

Who is Osimhen when it comes to crazy? But that's not even the point. The point is that as my country man his success is mine. Regardless of his attitude, I gain nothing from his failure.

I know how giddy I was for days when Tobi Amusan blasted records at the World Athletics and the Commonwealth games. A nation must have heroes. Free Oliseh. He's human.

Yes I like Oliseh...I followed him when he was with Lierse in Belgium league and was delighted when he had his cap against Ethiopia and his solid performance sent Friday Ekpo out of the team.

He was damn good as a player but with attitude problem....Oh happy with his sack,no oh,i just dey cruise baba

Yes on Mikel,i wasn't happy cos it was pure personal and not much of football reasoning though his opinion but there are ways ex internationals talk football that you thumb up.

I wish him well but would be glad to see Africa Guardiola in NPFL just like Finidi did with Enyimba.

A tactical masterclass from Lampard? Everton boss hailed for Alex Iwobi’s renaissance as repurposed No. 8
By Squawka's Ben Green.

Frank Lampard has drawn widespread praise for repurposing Alex Iwobi from a floundering wide forward, into an energetic, box-to-box midfielder, as Everton secured their first win of the season on Tuesday night.

There hasn’t been much to cheer about on the blue half of Stanley Park this season — or the red half for that matter — but Tuesday’s EFL Cup win over Fleetwood will bring Everton some much-needed respite from the relentless soul-sapping machine that is the Premier League.

The Toffees flattered to deceive at times in Lancashire, but they ultimately got the job done through Demarai Gray’s breakthrough on the half-hour mark to confirm their place in the third round. The talking points were certainly few and far between, but a recurring theme has generated further weight tonight.

The prevailing notion on the Goodison Park terraces midway through last season was that Iwobi was simply not good enough to inspire the club up the table and hoist them from the relegation murk, but now, the conventional wisdom has shifted, and Everton fans will tell you he is one of their more important players.

Much like Joelinton changed his fortunes by reinventing himself as a tenacious midfield operator, Iwobi has undergone a similar transformation.
The once polarising winger has shifted the Merseyside narrative and is now Lampard’s trusty No. 8. Incredibly, only Declan Rice (32) has managed more ball recoveries than Iwobi (30) this season among central midfielders.

As the nephew of Jay-Jay Okocha, Iwobi never could quite emulate the prodigious steps once taken by his illustrious uncle, but at 26, time is still very much on his side to etch his name into Premier League folklore, but it may come as a diligent midfielder, rather than as a tricky and unpredictable attacker.

Once again against Fleetwood, Iwobi was absolutely everywhere, covering every blade of grass, closing down with an inexorable zeal and galloping forward in sinew-stretching strides. This was another complete performance in the heart of Everton’s midfield.

There have been few things to cheer about at Everton this season, with the club still winless after three league games, but the continued emergence and renaissance of Iwobi as a repurposed No. 8 could prove the magnum opus of Lampard’s still infant career in the dugout.

The tactical recalibration is so far working a treat.

The UCL Draw Pots for Tomorrow

With Club Brugges' interest in Onyedika building, it would be really interesting seeing the lad join the Belgian Champs and definitely getting gametime belle-ful.

Naija Lads confirmed in the draws:

- Zaidu Sanusi (FC Porto)

- Calvin Bassey (Ajax)

- Victor Osimhen (Napoli)

- Samson Tijani (RB Salzburg)

- Fortune Akpan Bassey (Viktoria Plzen)

Paserio is the man not Lampard. He trusted Iwobi in the midfield 2 against Mexico, Ecuador, Serrialone and Sao Tome. No other coach in history has ever played Iwobi has number 4 or 6. Paserio was the first not Lampard, please!

Wrong. Wenger has once used Iwobi as a CM at Arsenal. I trust it was a Cup game.

Also, Lampard used Iwobi Post-Afcon in Central Midfield for a couple games before finishing the season with Iwobi at RB in the last few games of 21/22 season.

Post-Afcon under Lampard with Iwobi featuring in Central Midfield for a good number of games was where the Rejuvenation/Further evolution of Iwobi began.

And this switch to Central areas is something I advocated for and mentioned via twitter post-Afcon just before Lampard made that move.

So Peseiro only came in and consolidated on it. He was not the first, My good man. Credits to him for continuing from where Lampard stopped with Iwobi before the 22/23 season began.

Credits where it is due please.
