Obi of Onitsha, Eze Uzu of Awka and Igwe Nnewi are the 3 most powerful stools in igboland and among the most recognised in Nigeria. The only reason you are bitter and envious is because enugu has no such elegant Kings.

XerXers:

Eze uzu is another fraud just like obi of Nnewi.

Mr man you are not from Anambra state. Why this obsession. You go and post few kilometers of roads as what Anambra should build. Why not post kaduna Airport, ICC, flyovers let’s compare.
We have quality roads in Anambra but we are not posting them because this road is not even located in the top 3 cities in the state.
We won’t go and build and paint few km road in the state while the state lacks critical infrastructure.

Spot on.

Owerri is building these road designs because they cant afford to build flyovers. The junctions where they have these still have serious traffic. In the near future these junctions will still be removed to build flyovers.
Unlike owerri we have flyovers in Anambra. Can we find such flyovers in Anambra in Owerri?

Even Owerri tried to copy Awka flyovers and ended up with this joke. Lol
we are discussing modern junctions with traffic signals in kaduna and Owerri

Neimeth eyes N5b offer to build new plant in Anambra

Neimeth International Pharmaceuticals Plc has disclosed a plan to raise more capital through right issue and private placement to be used for a two-pronged expansion plan, namely the construction of a new plant in Anambra State and a facility upgrade of the Oregun plant.

The company planned to raise about N5 billion through right issues and private placement.

The Rights Issue which will commence on August 3, 2022, will be used to raise the sum of N3,679,618,625 at the cost of N1.55k per 50 Kobo share.
Pharm. Matthew Obi Azoji, Managing Director/CEO, Neimeth speaking to journalists in Lagos disclosed that the Private Placement will commence immediately after the Rights Issue has closed.

“The company is offering 628,753,036 Ordinary Shares to would-be investors at the price of N2.10. This is expected to generate N1, 320,381.375.60 through this channel.
“The money is being raised to fund our strategic expansion plans. Last year, at the 62nd Annual General Meeting of the company, our shareholders approved a two-pronged expansion plan, namely the construction of a new plant in Anambra State and a facility upgrade of the Oregun plant.
“The new plant will be a multi-product facility that will be tailored to comply with the World Health Organization (WHO) current standards of Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) at Amawbia in Anambra State.

“Part of the funds will also be used to support the company’s strategic plan of maintaining a sustainable capital structure, leverage the company’s balance sheet, reduce cost of borrowing or finance costs and fund working capital.
“The Oregun factory upgrade is already close to completion with funds from the Bank of Industry (BOI) and own resources. On completion, the Oregun plant alone will add additional 300 per cent to the Company’s production capacity especially with liquid preparations.
“These projects will not only sustain the current upbeat performance of the company but will give us a quantum leap into the league of leading global healthcare commodities producers,” he said.

Anambra broadband drive and the megacity goal

By Uzor Maxim Uzoatu

25 August 2022   |

SOURCE: Business Partner Magazine

Broadband installation holds aloft the promise of turning Anambra State into one megacity.

Just last year, on March 30, Anambra State scored a remarkable feat by becoming the first state in Nigeria to bring together eminent stakeholders in a conference to singularly address the obstacles facing broadband deployment and expansion in the country.

The well-attended conference rallied stakeholders and investors to Anambra State’s readiness and willingness to expand broadband infrastructure for the accelerated socio-economic development of the State celebrated as “The Light of the Nation”.

Anambra thus took pride of place as the first state in South-East Nigeria to implement the waiver of the per linear meter Right of Way (RoW) charges as opposed to the N145 per linear metre recommended by the National Economic Council.

The suave Chairman/Managing Director of Anambra State Physical Planning Board (ANSPPB), Barrister Chike F. Maduekwe masterfully organised the conference that attracted highbrow stakeholders such as the Honourable Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Ali Pantami; the Government of the United Kingdom; Kaduna State Government; Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC); the Association of Licensed Telecoms Operators of Nigeria (ALTON); the Association of Telecommunication Companies of Nigeria (ATCON); Government of Anambra State and its agencies.

According to Barrister Maduekwe, “For purpose of clarity and better understanding, Broadband is like the expressway. It is the highway of information and communications. Just as the volume of goods an entity is able to move can determine its wealth, the volume and rate of information (text, speech, sounds, static or moving images) can be transferred and received and can shape prosperity. Broadband penetration (through laying of additional fibre or another wireless form of making broadband available) is similar to the expansion of express roads into the nooks and crannies of Nigeria.

The availability of broadband will enable people to access the information they require to improve the quality of life lived, through participating in online economic activities, learning new skills, being more enlightened to participate in governance and for government to be able to provide public online services.”

A critical update of the broadband drive happened on July 31, 2022, with the Anambra State Unified Duct Infrastructure Project (ANSG UDIP) – an Open Access Model for High-Speed Broadband Delivery throughout Anambra State.

The initiative is for the private sector to build – at their own cost – a Unified Fibre Duct Infrastructure Project in Anambra State, using the Open Access Model that separates the ownership of the Physical Infrastructure, to wit, Specialised Ducts and Manholes, from the active Fibre services that will run through the underground duct network.

In the words of Barrister Maduekwe, “This will entail building up to 2,000kilometers of the underground ducting network throughout Anambra State, thus making possible the swift, State-wide implementation of High-speed, Fibre Optic Broadband services.

The Open Access model of High-speed Broadband deployment proposes a ‘Dig Once’ Policy, a policy that requires the trenching (digging), laying of ducts, and backfilling of all dug up trenches or paths, only once.”

Several reasons are adduced for the implementation of the Open Access Model of High-speed Broadband services, such as Standardization, Neutrality of Players, Security, Avoidance of Conflict of Interest, Basis for Fair Pricing for All Parties, and Independence.

This process will ensure multiform Infrastructural gains for Anambra State within six months to of year of implementation, including Direct Job Creation, Contribution to GDP Growth, Emergence of New Services and Industries, Workforce Transformation, and Business Innovation.

Maduekwe stresses: “Numerous public services have become available online and through mobile phones. The transition to cloud computing is one of the key trends for modernization.

If Anambra State follows suit, it will embrace such cloud-based data infrastructure and would be an outlier in the creation of Data Centre Opportunities in the Southeast.

Fibre Optic communications through wired (fibre), and wireless (fibre radio) connections have enabled the emergence of a completely new sector: The APP Industry, supported by ICT. Incidentally, Google’s submarine Broadband cable touched land in Nigeria in the second quarter of 2022 and runs across Nigeria and five other African countries and connects them directly to Europe.

This is a $ 1 billion investment that Anambra can tap into in the quest to achieve the State’s Digital Transformation. The investment focuses on enabling fast, affordable internet access for more Africans by plugging into already existing metro and last-mile duct fibre to provide even more capacity. They intend to also support entrepreneurship and small businesses. Anambra can key into these strategic multinational partnerships.”

The Mobile network operators are interested in reducing their costs and will be more than willing to go into long-term Right of Way Agreements with Anambra State.

The fibre to the tower opportunity halves the power cost requirements of TELCOS or MNOs by almost half. There is the added advantage of street lighting and other possible IPP power collaborations for green energy where these power cables can share the same trench with the fibre duct.

Anambra State can achieve Off-grid energy independence at zero cost to the State, and implement zero-carbon power solutions either alongside or after the fibre deployment.

The integrated interests can deploy bulk power (up to 1,000MW/H), solar power solutions that would light up Anambra, power government places of interest through prepaid solutions and so forth.

The fibre connection is the fastest means of telecommunications known to the modern world. With fibre to homes, offices, and other premises individuals can have access to the Triple Play Opportunities of Voice, Video and Data capabilities.

Anambra State can go into e-traffic implementation agreements with 3rd party entities to modernize their traffic systems and append electronic tickets to erring drivers at traffic stops and no parking zones etc.; E-security – Anambra state can enter into e-security implementation agreements with 3rd party entities for statewide CCTV security provision.

This will greatly increase security preparedness and create jobs through on-site installations by technicians and call centre work opportunities for youths; E-learning – Anambra state-owned schools can be provided with the latest learning management systems for state-owned schools for both students and teachers to foster remote learning solutions and promote teacher remote training opportunities.

Through the Data Centres, Anambra State can collaborate with large data storage firms for the provision of data centres all over the state.

Work from home opportunities and new start-up business ventures for the State will flourish once the fibre broadband internet services are up and running. This will attract FDI to Anambra State and will create jobs for thousands of youths through new web-based business opportunities and training of Ndi-Anambra on programming, coding and electronic transactions processes.

The Anambra broadband initiative is truly an idea whose time has come especially in this august time of the Anambra megacity goal.

Firstly, I find it very offensive to call my own Omanbala an Igala people. Don't get me wrong, we have Igala migrants into Anambra but its either they have been absorbed or we know who they are.

Secondly, all those towns you listed as Bini is a fucking joke! Please , keep quiet because you can't handle this conversation. Continue your silly mudslinging with your friend but dont step into what you dont know.

Handcraft, skills acquisition makes a comeback in Anambra schools' curriculum as Headteachers end 3-day retreat

By Obiageli Nwankwo

The 3-day Academic retreat organized for Headteachers in the state has come to an end with the re-introduction of handcraft and skills acquisition into the curriculum of primary and secondary schools.

The Commissioner for Education, Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh while addressing the headteachers on the final day of the retreat held at Anambra State Universal Basic Education Board (ASUBEB) Hall, Awka said that the return of handcraft and skills acquisition into the schools’ curriculum will kick off in the next academic session.

The commissioner said that the state would not train pupils who would carry guns to terrorize the state rather, a generation that would contribute positively to the growth of the state by learning skills that would help them become self-reliant after school.

The 3-day retreat organized for Headteachers in the three senatorial zones of the state was held on August 17, 19 and 24.

In his remarks, the Chairman, House Committee on Education, Mr. Ejike Okechukwu assured the Headteachers of better days ahead and commended them for their tenacity and doggedness in educating Anambra State school children.

Giving the vote of thanks, the Assistant Chairman, Association of Primary School Heads of Nigeria, (APSHON), Mrs. Vivian Nwankwo, praised the efforts of the state in organizing the retreat.

She said that the teachers must have learnt a lot and would deploy such when they return to their schools, adding that APSHON would support every step taken by the state to restructure the educational sector.

Obiageli Nwankwo reports from Awka. (MOI)

I will always maintain that the reason most people who hate Obiano do so is because of envy, jealousy and wickedness. If Obiano had performed like the normal below average SE gov he wont be hated by the people who hate his guts for only trying to develop Anambra to a mega state.

Just look at the mad man NwekereNdoki that tried to teach me good governance trying to whitewash the world acclaimed failure called ikpeazu who cannot even tie obiano's lace. The same fool who said that the only tangible thing obiano did is the airport is praising Ikpeazu for the substandard flyover he took almost 10 years to complete. When they come here they turn to engineers, pilots doctors, tourists, diplomats, travellers etc just to dismiss the work obiano did meanwhile Obiano took Anambra atleast 5 years ahead of all SE states.

That was how he rushed here to scream obiano is owing 16 billion not minding that his Ikpeazu has not paid both Salaries, pensions and gratuities for over 5 years.

I only pity the gullibles they are deceiving. We will always be here to match their madness, if they like let them switch to wizzyvibes and their many handles. useless people.
