Actually I don’t think there is any comparison there. Karen was a natural and we had never seen anyone like her on the bb screen. She was comfortable in her skin, funny as heck without trying and mischievous. She also didn’t take nonsense when it came to that. Even though some people will call Karen local, I just found her to be down to earth. She spoke English most of the time.

Phyna is quite diff; speaks pidgin most of the time. Talks about her life experiences most times, is really local and razz and quite lousy. She is my Edo sister but let’s call a spade a spade.

I loved Karen to pieces even though I couldn’t stand her at all initially
She was a raw diamond, loving, entertaining, brave, begging to be loved
But one thing she wasn’t at all was being comfortable in her skin…she was very very insecure about her looks and she tended to be hypocritical and trashed what she couldn’t have

Hermes isn't cute, but that guy has so much swag and confidence which is something Adekunle lacks.
Adekunle doesn't try at all with his outfits. He's too simple and girls don't run to such guys on a show like this because ships here are mostly for showoff. Feeling bad over a rejection is normal though especially when you wanted something real. Adekunle would maintain a relationship with ALLYSYN after the show, but Hermes is dumping her straightaway.

Maria was acting her age, there was a lot of condemnation for Angel's character from her, they used to call her Patriarchy princess, because she was hung up on condemning just Angel and never the men that entertained her advances, that her "Boys will be boys" line was so damning. She unraveled quickly and became a bit paranoid. I don't think she handled her time in the house well, funny enough.


Yeah, Diana is not who I would compare myself to, maybe I'd be something of a Bisola character more. I think that's the closest I can compare myself to.

A lot of people never believed Mercy's age. Maria did nothing wrong. Angel did herself dirty on that show and they fraudulently pushed her to the finals.

Even these names you mentioned had it rough in the house. T-Boss was utterly offended over Ese , 10 years younger, was being silly with her. Omashola had a mission and was undercover plus he had to maintain a high level of tolerance, otherwise he might have killed the likes of Tacha and Thelma, both about 15 years younger in age, who insulted him badly. Pere also saw the bigger picture, which is why he tolerated insults from the likes of Angel, 15 years younger.

If Chi-Chi had tried her bad beesh vulgar stupidity with Diane in the outside world, it's likely Diane would have sent boys after her, she gives off serious boss lady vibes. It's why it's advisable to avoid coming to the show if you're above 30 because no matter how calm you behave, there'll always be one deliquescent ill-bred Arrow that will want to use you to increase their street credibility and create major highlights, talking crap about how you both are suddenly the same because you're both on a reality show.
