See as everywhere red on bolt. Chai! Bolt is calling me, at least that traffic reading follow. Indriver no dey read for traffic and their riders go siddon comfortably, enjoying ur ac and burning ur fuel. After all, na their money angry imagine, Chevron to ojodu during rush hour in d evening (2hrs plus), riders go get mind put 2,5 or 3k. Evil!!! Yet balance well inside the car. But for Bolt, na driver abeg end trip make I find my way grin

Not a bolt fan boy, but Bolt surely still have its perks. Was surge today at lekki phase 1 cause of heavy traffic. Did a 1300 trip on indriver for close to 1hr 30 mins, quickly switched to bolt...lol. Same trips on bolt was double the price grin grin
If you have never driven on bolt or Uber for at least 4 - 6months, it's best to avoid Indriver.

To do well on indriver, you need to know and understand any part of lagos with just a glance on your Google map.

My golden rule is "never do a trip on indriver when there is surge on bolt"

When I was active, I only do destination trip on bolt once there's surge. Indriver straight.
Cos that's when you get higher fares on indriver.

Your ordeal is self inflicted (fastest finger), by picking a trip manipulated by the rider. 1hr 30 mins trip can never be ₦1,300 originally from indriver.

It wasn't a fastest finger thing. Normally it should be a 20, mins trip. Rider was 200m away from me. Map was showing 18mins to destination.18 mins turned to 1hr 30mins

True talk! Even as a newbie, I can't take that trip. 1hr30m for 1300. It's too small haba. That trip should be nothing less than 4k.

Bolt/Uber will give understanding of how the whole system works before porting to indriver

Ah! What now happened? Was it traffic? You should have asked the rider to add money

You don't still get, the fares has been tampered with, how can a trip of 18 mins suddenly turn to close to 1 hr 30mins. for how long... You didn't study it well before picking the trip..

Do you plan for uneventful traffic. Any driver that was at lekki phase this afternoon can testify to the heavy traffic

That should be a 7mins trip.

Seeing 20+ mins to destination on such trip is enough for me to look away. Regardless the price.

The guy has been bidding low fares too. 7 trips only and his ratings already 4.2. That means he has been paying really low fares for his trips....

Exactly my first point. I'll rather be inside traffic on bolt than indriver.

Had a similar situation later. Twin towers entertainment to Oniru 1,100 naira on indriver, picked same ride on bolt. Rider ended up paying 2,300, bolt app bonus 300.

It's better you still stick to bolt. What they're saying is that indriver requires experience but Bolt had already done most of the thinking for drivers.

It's a learning phase... Prolly, you thought you were the first person to pick that ride. I can bet you, that said rider has been trying to get a ride to remi oluwude for over 20 - 25 mins. and all the experienced drivers around have been bouncing/skipping that particular ride before you picked it.

Been doing ehailing for 19 months. Just started following this thread and wanted to share my experience.

I can't struggle for fastest finger with indriver drivers for low prices when bolt can give me close to double if there's surge and serious traffic.

How can U forget there is a difference between estimate and actual. Has it been that long u stopped driving?

From 18mins to 1 hr 30mins. For a distance less than 10km. That's not d real price..

grin. Whatever, those drivers are not feeling the Bolt gospel, 7trips, he's already at 4.2.
. I suspect the dip in his ratings are as a result of his akagum fares... grin

That is why indriver is not for someone that doesn't know Lagos. With bolt if you jam unexpected traffic or delay you'll still be a bit calm but on indriver na vex and regret. Indriver is good but you must be very experienced to enjoy it...

The other day, one of us was writing to bolt customer care... I'm like. There's no point, they won't listen to you anyway....

When their revenues take a serious hit, I'm sure they will sit tight. You don't tell a blind man it's raining, if he can't see the rain, at least, he can smell or feel it.
Take the case of Uber, can you imagine a whole Uber sending emails to drivers that commission has been reduced to 20%

(there's no company in the world that abruptly changes strategy, especially when it comes to their revenue, ) some months back, with different types of bonus. attached, that shows they really lost drivers to competition...

Yet they've not added the destination function. Whenever they're ready to increase their revenue, they know what to do.

I did 2 trips on bolt today (destination trips) when I noticed the surge, there’s no loyalty to any app and that’s the deal now henceforth. If there’s no surge on bolt, I can’t deal with their pricing and commission. I’ve done trips on inDriver that I cannot get the same value on bolt unless if the trips is on surge.

Damn! 1 hr 30 mins trip for 1300 sad
Sorry about this bro.
I really don't understand how 18 mins trip can turn to 1hr 30 mins. You should have explained to the rider immediately you clicked navigate and you saw 1hr 30 mins. If he/she refuses to renegotiate, you can cancel. Its better they charge you 130 commission, than for you to embark on that journey for 1300.

Indriver na calculation. This is how I do mine. If trip is about 5 to 8 mins.....1k. About 16 to 20 mins....1500. About 30 to 35.....2500. 45mins....2800. 1 hour....btw 3k to 3300. So that your trip should have been 4500/5000 or a bit more.

I have not worked for 2 days though, cos bolt suspended me till Sunday. I tried using Indriver but the prices I saw got me discouraged. Riders just dey turn down my offer. I just used the time to read up for a course I'm doing.

Better days ahead bro.
