This is not a case of using grammar.......... !!! You make me laugh.

I hope you know nobody can chase the so called "Agberos" off the roads in Nigeria. Those guys have a union called NURTW an affiliate of NLC and years ago they obtained a SUPREME COURT judgement to let them operate on the roads (please go into history) that's why no government have been able to curtail them in any state of the federation. The Iya Olojas and Baba Olojas are not and have never been tax collection agents. It has never happened in any states in Nigeria.

Also let us get this right, Tinubu's Administration conceived and started these projects and handed over to successors who continued. Go and check the facts. The Truth can not be hidden.

In the case of taxing everybody. Proper taxation is governance in action. That is how its done in all the advanced countries (Europe, Asia and North America)! In these climes dem no born you well make you work and not pay taxes. I want you ask to any Nigerian you know out there, who is either legally or illegally staying abroad.

These so called cart pushers, hawkers, petty traders, market men and women, small and medium scale business owners, artisans, hustlers, aboki, me-suya and many more want to identify with Lagos. They want to do business in Lagos without any hassles but don't want to contribute to its development. This attitude is not the way to go.

Contribute your little quota through tax, that's why the State is working. All hands must be on deck.

*Gov. Makinde banned NURTW in Oyo since 2019 and heaven did not fall.

*Who's the Baba Oloja of Lagos state? The only Oloja of Lagos market is Tinubu's daughter. You're not very smart.

*Tinubu neither conceive nor started anything in Lagos. Mention one thing he fixed in Lagos. I don't need to verify any fact. I was born and raised here. I witnessed Lagos under Tinubu firsthand.

*Everybody isn't taxed in advanced country. There's a benchmark for taxation and people earning minimum wage are exempted from taxation. Have you even been to the airport? You sound stupid bro. I've been paying taxes to LASG since I turned 16 and I still don't know how they spend my taxes.

*You're talking nonsense bro. Petty traders and cart pushers are under the poverty line, they shouldn't be burdened by taxes from Tinubu's agberos. They're trying to survive.

Get an education bro. You sound ridiculous.

Not FG, Fashola, Ambode or Sanwo-Olu's achievement?

You don't need anybody for that. All you need is go online and search out their individual achievements as Governors, it's in the Public domain.

Please BAT is more of a 419 someone that has not criticised any of Buhari’s policies and Buhari’s kin’s and Northerners has rejected him . But BAT is very bold to say he brought Buhari to power he should be hiding his face in shame and apologising to Nigerians. No he won’t do that because he wants to become a President. Please you can’t compare Gombe to Anambra in terms of infrastructure.
Anambara that has poor road network and gully erosion every where.you can say this to those who have not been there.

The cases you refer to were all the issues that bedeviled Lagos before Tinubu came on-board as Governor in 1999.
Tinubu's "Master Stroke" came when he gathered Notable Nigerian Professionals like the Late Professor Olikoye Ransome-kuti (Late Fela's elder brother) these calibre of people were given committees based on their professional background and each came up with a plan of action for Lagos based on sectors they had expertise on.

It was based on these various committees' reports back in the days (from 1999 - 2007) that he appointed the likes of Yemi Oshibajo, Dele Alake, Wale Edun, Leke Pitan, Raji Fashola and others to implement these Blue Print.

So Tinubu met these problems in Lagos and he didn't have to fix them as Governor. Mehn, where did they bring you guys from?

OK, these "technocrats" he gave portfolios, mention the things they fixed. I want to hear you mention one thing that was fixed in Lagos under Tinubu.

I remember it got worse under Tinubu, the taps stopped working, the roads were delapidated, education suffered. For the first time, our teachers protested non payment of salaries. Some started selling us puff-puff in class. The only sectors that worked were agbero, iya oloja and omo-onile.

I challenge you to show me anything that worked under Tinubu.
Re: Keyamo: Tinubu’s Track Record Stands Him Above Atiku, Obi by Freethinker87: 3:15pm On Aug 26, 2022
I don't even want to discuss the violence that was Tinubu's Govt. He recruited so many agbero and holigans into local Govt. Funny enough, we knew these holigans personally, they were degenerates, people who should normally be in prison. How did they even make it into the local Govt?

Tinubu made sure we understood that his Govt will treat dissidents with violence. Agberos were so powerful, my God! I'll leave the violence to your imagination. Soldiers were not spared either. Agberos clashed with soldiers on numerous occasions and there were deaths on both sides.

Do you think students were going to school and market women were opening their shops when these crisis start?

You need to see how they behave when they come to collect their lockup shop, TV license or canopy levy. How they destroy wares of those who didn't have the money to pay on the spot. There were no receipts for these levies too.

Tinubu ruled Lagos state just as the medellin cartel ruled over the streets of Mexico. May God continue to bless Gov. Raji Fashola.

More education for you .......!

Governor Makinde banned agbero's from operating and not NURTW and other transport Unions (Have you been to Oyo state to see how this ban is working, the union guys are every where?).

Lagos State has only one Iya Oloja. Be informed also that every market in the length and breath of Lagos and other parts of Nigeria have their respective Iya olojas and Baba olojas as may apply.

Are you sure you were born in Lagos? Maybe you were born after he left office or you were too young to understand Lagos before and during Tinubu's administration. I can understand that.

If you like, you can refuse to go online and search out his achievements as Governor, that's your own call. They are verifiable, nothing can be subtracted or added to it. Its already permanent, I can't change it, neither can you. (but I pray you don't fall victim of peddling facts that are contrary to what is already available online in the public domain).

On taxes, every country have their own peculiarities on taxation and revenue generation. That's the way it has worked. If you have alternatives, please be free to share with us your own strategy. Its a case of "You can't eat your cake and have it"

Lagos State can never be free for all, lest all hell will be let loose. Lagos is not free for all, can't be and will not be, even during pre-Colonial Lagos taxation was key to development.

I want to call you "Brother Get Education", please help me out, since when did "agberos become tax agents for Lagos State Government? On whoose order? or by which law? I need answers to this.....

From your comments, you don't even know how your taxes are deployed for development by government. This is unbelievable!!!. In this century and age a so called Lagosian (born and bred in Lagos), you don't even know how taxes are applied or what they are used for?

I have my doubts, you exist in a vacuum oblivious of what goes on around you.

Let me advice you, next time and before you come and make unverifiable comments, please all you need to do is carry out a simple search online and you will be surprised at the amount of facts out there.

My assignment for you, if you want to do yourself a favour is to firstly go online or visit the (LIRS) Lagos Inland Revenue Service and (FIRS) Federal Inland Revenue Service to learn what the revenues generated from taxes are used for.

Imagine!

Lagos Boy! oya let me help you out, I have time to help one ill informed Lagosian.

He revolutionize the IGR collection of Lagos State from 600 Million monthly to 2 Billion (2007). This system today generates 7 billion monthly now and its used in other states and at the Federal Level. (Economic Sector)

On restructuring, he was the first Governor who led the Creation of 37 LCDAs out of 20 LGA after a successful Referendum in Lagos (Successful Management of 20 LGAs and 37 LCDAs during his tenure) and they still stand till today. Back then Lagos was denied Federal Allocation but during his tenure Lagos State never owed staff salary to any staff at Local and State levels. Other states like Ebonyi copied the LCDA creation.

Creation of LCDAs was his idea of bringing governance closer to the people and he succeeded in that big time. This where the RESTRUCTURING agitation started from.

The total Federal allocation denied Lagos back then was released to the Raji Fashola administration by Late Yaradua when he became head of State after OBJ.

(Environmental Protection Sector) Phase One of Lagos Bar Beach Reclamation project was completed before he left office. He already planned what to do next which was Eko Atlantic City which is standing tall today. That's the Next Mega City on the Ocean (E

(Investment into Lagos) Lekki Free Trade Zone was conceived and started during his time, even Aliko Dangote confirmed that. the Port is almost completed, Dangote oil Refinery is located there.

(Security) He up graded what Operation Sweep Security Outfit, that gave birth to RRS today and the funding for the outfit outside government financing. If you don't know RRS is funded by the private sector. He introduced Neighborhood Watch which is still working today..... the State Police agitation started with this idea.

He created LATSMA for traffic management in Lagos.

One Day Governor for school kids, its still happening yearly. This is to encourage children in public schools to aspire to and see governance from close quarters.

He created LAWMA to tackle the huge refuse heaps in Lagos back then.

He opened up the Lekki corridor for housing development

The Expansion of Lekki expressway

BAT was the first governor and still the only governor to conducted (LCDA creation) Referendum and Household Survey back then. To determine how to plan using population parameters approve by World Bank and other multinational agencies.

*FG did not seize Lagos state allocation. Tinubu received state allocation in full for 8 years. Only Local Govt allocation was withheld because Tinubu created additional 37 LCDAs unconstitutionally and demanded additional funding from the FG.

Oya, please lecture me!

I wont lecture you but i can help you see the light. all you have written are the familiar crap that is usually recycled to packaging tinubu. the problem is that you guys dont ask questions as to whether what you are recycling is truth or lies. lets look at your points one after the other.

when you boast that tinubu created 37LCDAs, the question you should help us answer is what positive impact have these 37 LCDAs had on the lives of lagosians? or is it just to create LCDAs that is the achievement?

Lagos state was never denied federal allocation by FG under obasanjo. LAgos state was denied local government allocation. by now you should know that.

this eko atlantic, how many lagosians can afford to live on eko atlantic?

LFTZ wasnt conceived by Tinubu. it was conceived and initiated by Tolaram group, the company building and managing it.

So there was operation sweep put in place by Buba Marwa. Tinubu came and sustained it and it has private sector funding. so what do we do? should we go to church for thanksgiving?

See below the picture of LASTMA that you say Tinubu created.

How did Tinubu open up Lekki corridor for housing development?

who did tinubu expand lekki expressway for? who manages lekki expressway and who owns the company in charge of the expressway?

how does conducting a referendum equate being an achievement?

these are quite mediocre to be called achievements.

My brother go and get educated.

You don't even know what a Referendum is and how it led to LCDA creation. I can see that you don't even know what the 1999 Constitution says about Local Government creation, governance and administration. You don't even know how LGAs affects the local populace.

The Lekki Phase One and Two were the flagship estate that opened up the Lekki axis.

It's either you were too young when all these were happening back then.

You are not versed in this area of discussion. Abeg keep quiet.

He tried
BAT should use the small 5% energy to manage Alpha Beta Nigeria Ltd untill he joins his ancestors while
Atiku should use the meagre 10% energy to manage Abti/American university.
Obi has 60% energy to take Nigeria to the promised land.

TINUBU DID NOT TRANSFORM LAGOS.

Is it Tinubu that made Lagos a Federal Capital for many decades?

Is it BAT that built MMIA and the seaports in Lagos?

Is it Asiwaju that located all the Federal Institutions capital in Lagos?

Is it Tinubu that made all the oil companies and Banks to locate their head offices in Lagos and pay tax to Lagos?

Is it Tinubu that built 3rd mainland bridge?

Is it Tinubu that built Dodan Barracks?

U can deceive some people some times but u can't deceive all the people all the time.

Asiwaju met Lagos already harbouring all our National Treasures and Investments.

Stop the LIES!

Let's hear what the opposition has to say
Lol
All I have to say is that Peter Obi performed better than Bola Tinubu as governor. Here are my points:

PETER OBI ACHIEVEMENTS

Under Peter Obi, Anambra was the first State to commence Sub-Sovereign Wealth savings, the first of its kind in Sub-Saharan Africa.

At a time many other Governors were leaving huge debts, Peter Obi left the equivalent of $500 million Dollars in investment as well as local and foreign currency, including $156 million in Dollar-denominated bonds.

Under Peter Obi, For the first time in the history of Anambra State, Ambassadors and High Commissioners of notable countries such as United States, Britain, Russia, European Union, South Africa, Belgium, Israel, the Netherlands, Canada, among others, visited the State.
Before Peter Obi tenure, Anambra was practically a pariah state blacklisted by the Diplomatic Corps and international development partners. Development partners such as UNDP, UNICEF, the World Bank, DFID, the European Union etc., which hitherto were not in Anambra State started working with the State.

Anambra was consistently adjudged one of the best states in development partnership and commitment to reforms for good governance.

Peter Obi was recognised as Best Governor by the Millennium Development Goals Office (OSSAP-MDGs) and the UNDP in the implementation of their programmes in Nigeria.

Under him, Dr. Magnus Kpakol of NAPEP said Anambra was the No 1 in terms of reduction in poverty.

The Nigerian Debt Management Office (DMO) rated Anambra as the least indebted state in Nigeria. In spite of visible and measurable achievements recorded in various sectors, the State under Peter Obi did not borrow or raise bonds for her various projects.

Under Peter Obi, the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria rated Anambra State as the most financially stable state in the country.

Peter Obi ground-breaking return of schools to their original owners – Voluntary Agencies (Churches) on 1st January 2009, and subsequent partnership with the Agencies in Education, saw the State move from 24th position out of 36 States to Number One in National Examination Council (NECO) and West African Examination Council (WAEC) examinations for three consecutive years. This made the World Bank to commission a study, led by the renowned Prof. Paul Collier of Oxford University, on this revolutionary partnership and phenomenal achievement.

Peter Obi also entered into strategic partnership with the Churches in the Health sector. This symbiotic relationship resulted in a tremendous boost to health care because of the services offered by health institutions owned by Voluntary Agencies, while the State restored grants to the agencies and made available to them more than 50 million Dollars in various types of support.

Through partnership with the Church in the Health sector, Peter Obi Government funded the transformation of -:
a: Iyienu Hospital, Ogidi;

b: Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Ihiala;

c: St Charles Borromeo Hospital, Onitsha;

d: Holy Rosary Hospital, Waterside, Onitsha; and

e: St. Joseph Hospital, Adazi-Nnukwu.

His Government also built the Joseph Nwilo Heart Centre in St. Joseph, Adazi-Nnukwu, where heart operations are now being performed.

His Government won the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (1 Million dollars) as the best-performing state in immunisation in the South-East. With complementary funding from our Government, they used the money to build 10 Maternal and Child Care Centres across the State, particularly in rural communities, in partnership with the Churches.

During Peter Obi tenure, The State was the first to procure and distribute more than 30,000 computers to secondary schools, including 22,500 from HP. The Managing Director for Personal Systems Group HP Inc, Mr. FabriceCampoy described the deployment as the biggest of such projects in the Middle-East and Africa.

Anambra State Government provided Microsoft Academies to more than 500 secondary schools, which the Head of Microsoft in Nigeria (Mr. Ken Span) described as the biggest such deployment in Africa so far.

The State provided Internet access to more than 500 secondary schools, which the CEO of Galaxy Backbone (Mr. Gerald Ilukwe) characterized as incomparable to any in the country.

Peter Obi's government provided More than 700 buses to secondary schools in the State.

Boreholes were provided in schools all over the State.

Numerous classrooms were built in all the 177 communities of the State.

As part of the efforts to turn around the economy of the State, Peter Obi attracted a number of companies to build their facilities in the Anambra State. A case in point is SABMiller, the 2nd largest brewery in the world, which built their first Green Field facility in the State, which is today one of the most successful facilities they operate globally.

A number of other companies followed the SABMiller initiative and were all supported and encouraged under Peter Obi Government; a good example is INNOSON Motor Manufacturing Company, from which our government bought more than 1,000 vehicles.

Anambra State for the first time started close collaboration with recognized government security agencies (the Police, Army, Navy, Department of State Security, Civil Defence, among others), offering them various types of support including provision of more than 500 security vehicles. The improvement in security was phenomenal, such that the former IG of Police (Abubakar Mohammed) lauded Anambra State for not witnessing any bank robbery in my last three years in office.

To further enhance security, Anambra State provided at least one security vehicle to each of all the 177 communities in the State as well as various organizations such as markets and Churches.

His Administration conceived and built, from scratch, the first state-owned Teaching Hospital, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu teaching Hospital, Awka.

His Government commenced the planned development of the Igbariam Campus of the ChukwuemekaOdumegwu-Ojukwu University, including the fencing, construction of internal roads, electrification, construction of the Faculty of Law, Auditorium, Administrative Block, Faculty of Agriculture, Management Building, among others).

His Government attracted the World Bank support on erosion – National Erosion and Watershed Management Project (NEWMAP) – to Anambra State.

His Government was the first to do Poverty Mapping in Nigeria, as a guide for the effective implementation of our poverty-alleviation strategies.
His Government, for the first time, undertook the aerial mapping of Awka as well as the production of Structure Plans for Awka Capital Territory, Onitsha and Nnewi.

During Peter Obi tenure and with his Government’s support, Anambra State became an oil producing State.

He built the first Secretariat Complex to house State Government Ministries that were hitherto scattered around the State.

His government commenced the development of the ‘Three Arms Zone’ comprising Government House/Governor’s Lodge, Legislative Building/Speakers Residence, and Judiciary Building with Chief Judge’s Residence.

By the end of Peter Obi tenure in 2014, more than twelve (12) health institutions, including two hospitals, had secured accreditation; when he took off in 2006, no health institution in Anambra State was duly accredited.

Anambra State was the first to undergo national peer review, which scrutinised State Governments for good governance, through the State Peer Review Mechanism (SPRM), an initiative of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum in collaboration with the DFID.

If Peter Obi was this good?

But why did Anambra people chase him out of APGA after 8 years as Governor, they did not allow him to sustain these developments, rather gave their mandate to Wilky Obiano for 8 years. Obi had to go to PDP again.

We keep missing the point as people and as politicians. Governace is about wealth creation and creating institutions to manage the the wealth.

From the list of what he did, where are the institutions that continued with his lagacies?

That is where Lagos State is different.
