Shortly after that, she reshuffled the managerial team and employed 3 unknown persons who were never part of the company to take over the Management of the company, while she still remains the Director.

All these she did without any form of recourse to her old staff. I never bothered as an old staff until recently, when we started noticing some more incompetency in administration and management of the company. It rose to the extent that workers receive half salary sometimes without any briefing, allowances are not being paid and when they pay, they short pay us.

I couldn't hold it any longer as a man of justice and as such, I wrote to the Director after having meeting with the new GM. In my letter I expressed on behalf of other workers, the feelings of maltreatment and administrative Injustice, as most of them are afraid of opening up, to avoid being sacked.

Then after, the Director herself called for a general meeting and instead of to apologise for all these financial and managerial malfeaseances, she chose to tackle the old workers particularly myself, thinking that we were working against her. I still stood my ground on the path of Justice, finally she tried to pacify the workers by promising a salary increase, based on the number of years spent in the company. But then, I have been on her watchlist all through.

Any little mistake I make, she would capitalize on that to weigh me down. I now seek ur opinions, whether to continue in the company or resign. Good a thing, I have a business that even pay me better than the job.

He who wears the shoes, knows where it pinches.

The second advise from me will be, for the period you will be there, don't be confrontational to your boss.
Who knows in the future, your next employer may do background check and the Director or ur HR will give bad recommendations about you.

Finally, when you came for this employment in that company, you came alone.
Stop bn the mouthpiece of other employees.
Those people you are defending will still be the same people that will betray you before the same Management you are fighting.
Be cautious.

Immediately, i counted my teeth with my tongue and left immediately. Now, I'm doing FAR FAR better than those still slaving there.

If a company brings their motivational talks of where you wish to see the company in 20yrs, also ask them where they wish to see you with the company in 20yrs. I once asked that question in a staff meeting and they all kept quiet.

In the Summer of 2008, myself and my colleges took the same stance against our employer who had been owing us months salaries after failed promises. After days of haggling and the table began to shake, I was tipped to the director by the same people i was speaking for as the provocateur and he managed to pay all the staff the backlogs. I was later given letter of termination of appointment though. Two years later I got a FG job with better renumeration and working conditions. However, i learnt a lesson that remained with me till date;
(1). In a private organization, the decision of the owner is Supreme.
(2). Never join colleagues to kick against the management (personalise your solution to the problem by either fixing or running).
(3) Your colleagues at work are not your friends but colleagues, never trust them.

You can either look for another Job while still working there but from your write up...she's new in the system and as such will want to flex her power untill the reality set in for her. I'll want you to hang in there because as an old staff there's on edge for you to climb up the hierarchy, if you can be a little patience.
