This project is owned by Ogbechie Gabriel, the owner of Rainoil and his Malaysian partners and has nothing to do with the State Government......

The Government and the communities are only providing an enabling environment for the project to trive....
Nice one

Is it true that it's a federal government funded project?

Which federal government? Is it the one headed by a man that has nepotism running down his veins! undecided

The present Federal government that's on coma will assist a state with their agricultural needs! grin

Common NYSC 5k stipends Niger Delta states can't pay... But Anambra pays 8k..

Yeye governments of Niger Delta... Only stealing they know how to do

And how many Niger Delta states do you know that don't pay 5k? Even as back then when I serve, your beloved Anambra was paying a paltry 3k as NYSC stipend when Rivers state was paying 10k! undecided

Mumu governor

All the Niger Delta governor are dumb or should I say they lack foresight

None of them could think of building oil refinery with all the money coming to their pocket every month and the crude oil sitting @ their backyard

In the year 2020 alone, Malaysia earned 36.87 billion Malaysian ringgit from palm produce. Which converted to Naira is about N3 trillion! Is that not enough to put a dent in our national debts?? The palm tree is so under appreciated in this country, especially when u realize that that plant was introduced to Malaysia by the British with only Nigerian palm trees! Most people don’t even know that their vegetable oil used in cooking is made from palm oil, same as chocolates. Nice one from Okowa, I hope whoever comes next does not abandon this project. Continuity is always a big issue in dis our nation.

chocolates are made from cocoa..

Great. That's how it should be. Government should not be setting up commercial ventures. They can not run commercial ventures effectively and profitably. Instead they should provide assistance to the private sector to establish and operate such ventures.

No this is not even Delta State government project. It's a private project with loan from the FG. About 20+bn was disbursed to this particular private company to increase their palm oil production. Delta state government just provided the land and that's all. Also 10bn was given to the another entity in Edo state. So far FG has disbursed about 40bn+ to increase palm oil production... The goal is to become the 3rd largest exprorter in the next 4yrs of I believe we are currently 5th, having drop down from number 1 pre crude discovery and controlling more than 70% of the world's palm oil market with millions of dollars of revenue which could equate to billions of Naira now possibly even a rivalry or surpassing crude oil income. Palm oil is the next crude oil, we currently make 100bn+ in export about 2 million+ tons compare to less than 1m+ tons 5 years ago. If well keyed into by the private sector with needed CBN funding we can well increase our production to 5m+ in the next 3years

It won't be bad to appreciate good sometimes.
The fed government through the CBN I believed provides a loan of 20bn to this particular private company for this.
This is what we want actually. Loans readily made available for start up or to increase agriculture productivity.

That’s Okowa’s farm after leaving office. If you know, you know. Don’t forget Operation Feed The Nation. Any state governor/president that goes into farming while he is about leaving office is doing such farming using government money for himself.

No single state in Nigeria has a farm that make la obey or general revenue for it, today.

They do it in private companies too.
