I know Chioma's way of handling this issue will be to hide from or avoid James, but you don't solve a problem by hiding from it or avoiding it, rather by confronting it.

She should confront this problem and there are two ways she can do that.

1.) By bringing her husband in. Bringing George in will give her the support she will need because:

* George, definitely due to his love for her will fight for her and throw James out of the company and their lives

* The awareness of her husband's awareness of the issue at hand will strengthen her and her will to face James headlong. Accountability and self dignity comes in, she won't want to betray that.

* It will build their bond more. One of the things that strengthens the bond of couples is when they're uniting to battle a threat, a threat to their lives, relationship and home. This bond will go a long way in strengthening and motivating her. This is one of the best times for couples to solidify and grow their bond and relationship.

2.) Another way she can deal with this issue is to face it alone. Considering the fact that James money is needed, this is also a viable option. She can do this by:

* Strengthening her will.

* Immersing herself in the love of her marriage, the beauty of her home and her love for God.

* Strengthening the bond with George more.

* Always remind herself of her responsibility and commitment towards her marriage and home.

* Preventing any thought of James from taking residence in her mind. Thoughts beget desires and desires beget actions.

* Being rash, cold and distant towards James. This is one of the ideal ways to deal with seducers. Seducers are able to to do what they do because their targets give them access to them. Their targets are always gentle, calm and free in their presence which gives them the privilege to penetrate their walls and do whatever they want to do. That's the exact same case here. James is able to do what he does because Chioma is gentle with and around him.

But if she becomes rash, cold, distant, feisty and hostile around and towards him, he will back off. He won't have the guts and luxury to approach her, how much more try seducing her.

See me sounding like a relationship expert grin. Anyways, I just hope she overcomes and if she fail, we move cool.

maybe because I naturally write long stories. The shortest of my standalone stories is 60k words cheesy

So when I write about 30-50k words I call it short. (mostly have them in anthologies) but don't worry, I will try to make this one shorter than I'm used to (so help me God)

I'm a panster, not a plotter, every new chapter comes fresh that same day it's posted and Idea comes as I write, most times I can't stop the story until I run out grin grin grin

But like I said, I'll try to make this the shortest of them all. No fear, you hear?

This Chioma na real ewu aswear. How does it even sound in her ears telling her husband not to accept an investor into their company without any concrete reason(s). If na she, she for buy am? Right now she is sounding like her husband's enemy of progress.

Instead of her to openly tell George her reasons, of which if he knows, he will willingly reject James offer all thanks to his love for her, she is there playing secretive.

How does she expect him to discern things, is he omniscient? Since she is aware of the threat, why can't she bring her husband in? This woman is annoying as fvck!! I just hope she doesn't regret this.

Me, I'm just here to watch if she will overcome and how she is going to do that or if she will succomb and the process of that, the effect of it on her marriage and family, and the remorse, apologisies, repentance, forgiveness and healing processes.
