I was watching who wants to be a millionaire and this particular question was thrown to this guy.. I couldn't believe the guy didn't know the answer. Baba was totally confused and speechless. Not northerners as in directly-indigenous Hausas-and-Fulanis, for God’s sake. That poster meant northerners as in people from the north of England as opposed to the south/London-ways. But really Wales is more rugby-fanatical than any corner of England. I have Welsh buddies who see football as a sissy-boy’s sport (or at the least just have no interest in it) and rugby as a real-man’s sport so it’s all relative to the watcher/player.

Dumb analogy… Does knowing what continent Nigeria belongs to put food on your table? Definitely not and yet it will sound dumb and stupid if you say you don’t know Nigeria belongs to Africa because knowing it doesn’t put food on your table.

I can watch a match and enjoy it but I don’t follow any leagues and I’m not a football fan.

I have other things that excite me; things that obviously will not excite everyone else.

I am by no means considered boring.

I zip line, race cars, play video games, take weekend trips with wifey, travel to other countries to experience their culture, etc

It’s actually parochial to think everyone must conform to you image of the world of of what men should and shouldn’t like.

I think you should be more open minded rather than label people simply because they are different from you and you don’t understand them. That way you learn more than you know.

You disagree because you have what is called narrow vision. So basketball is played by one player ba? Or they don't have individual skills. Rugby or American football nkor? Baseball is played by one person. Even in esports like valorant and the likes.

The ball is on the legs in football. Maneuvering their way with their legs makes it complex and distinct from the other sports you mentioned.
