The last time I checked , the border closed for months only left a negative side on our economy. Today, a dollar is almost 700 Naira.

You banned importation of rice yet, no development of home grown rice. No youth agricultural empowerment programmes that could have ushered-in modern method of farming and growing of improved rice yields by importing improved rice paddies, construction of silos, etc. Mr president abandoned the alluvial soil in the south and asked the CBN to concentrate agricultural loan's and grants in the arid North.

This man, by the time he leaves office will remain the worst president Nigeria has produced in history.

Like I've always said, I'm waiting for what the APC will use to campaign. Incidentally, the National Leader of the same failed party is busy shouting oun lokan.

That’s all different with media, foreign music was banned in Nigerian station to encourage naija artist, look at where we are in Music today. I believe this will work too and you should be able to see this positively without any visual hindrance. Try not to be too consumed by hatred, it will blindfold your sense of reasoning wink

Some people will still criticize this when in actual fact this single move can create jobs for Nigerians or fatten the pockets of current indigenous practitioners

I don't understand this, does it also affect the use of AI also?

A good way to increase patronage of local contents, it should spread to other areas too, so can employment rate can increase and the youths can be encouraged too.

We depend too much on foreign things, that we assume them as superior.
You are blessed my brother

Then exorbitantly charge them and move on.

If Pepsi can afford it, another person won't
obviously.

Because we want to promote local content, doesn't mean we should outrightly ban foreign ones.

Well, what is money when the people you make it for aren't educated or endowed with the capacity to build on such earnings?

When you teach people how to fish, they can feed themselves much longer and more satisfactorily than if you keep dolling out money to them no matter how long you do.

When Nigerians engage actively in these advertisements, they get to build their own capacity and then they get better and better in the field and can even attain a point at which they also become sought after in the international scene, including Africa and the whole world.

When has any ban actually turned out right for nigeria?
That's NOT how free economies work. That's why Nigeria is in this situation today.

Very very parochial and backward way of thinking. When Benin and Ghana just here start to mess your artist up and models. I hope you won't cry out.

You banned the importation of rice and co from Benin but opened the boarders to Niger republic and everyone seems no concerned. Ok oo

DONT CALL IT RACISM

Until u hear from a friend over sea that he or she is no longer getting work for modelling gigs then u will understand

International relationships btw countries.

Use ur sense
I wish all other countries will ban Nigerians from coming to their countries so that we can stay, school and work for our country. If to say they ban Nigerians from going to hospital abroad our hospitals would have been One of the best. Our University would have not been on strike by now, we would have functional refinaries by now, one dollar wouldn't have been 700 now, we would have learn to love our country, our technology would have grown and our local industries would have been to a standard.

This is the height of idiocy. Developed nation's didn't become developed by stopping their citizens from leaving, and destroying international relations. The only countries that did that were communist nation's which were all dirt poor.
