From my own observations, There are designated Lapo branches for disbursing these loans. Try and find out which to enable you have a smooth process.

I went to two branches where they didn't really know about it, and even gave me wrong info before I was directed to the designated branch.

Hint: If the security doesn't know about it once you mention nyif, you're probably in the wrong place.

I just filled a form and they photocopied the docs I took along. Then was told I would be called when the money drops. Like 3 weeks later I did get called, signed a cheque and was given my cash. Didn't open any account. No troubles or arguments. Everything went so smoothly I was even suspicious due to the stuff I read here.

Said it wasn't any of their business, they are just avenues to disburse the loan.

Read through a previous poster (Pastor.Fire) comments here to get your answers. You don't need to open a Lapo account. Just find the right branch.

OK. If that's the case, that means the account might have been opened. How will one now know that the acct has been credited since they dont send alert and the short code is nt linked to the acct?.

I was @Bodija branch today, was told they v opened the acct n forwarded to their headquaters, that the money wil drop anytime soon.

I did my documentation since on the 1st of August. Yet have not been credited.

Some people that register sane day with me have registered.

Port Harcourt LAPO branch is telling me that payments have not been made yet.

Please can someone advise me on what next to do?

I never see money inside lapo and they dont send message

Baobab MFB is really dubious repaying 4912 naira for 60 months for a 250,000 Naira loan. The interest rate is not 5% as stated in the form signed

Baobab Bank sent mine to me after a week, thanks Baobab bank.
Thank God I wasnt placed under Lapo.
Lapo may end up using 80 percent of the money for their loan business and not disburse it to beneficiaries
