Deserved POTM for Flourish Sabastine.

Meanwhile 4 goals from dead ball situations/set pieces. The Bayelsa Queens are alright. Wish them the best in the final vs Ampem Darkoa (hope I got that right).

I am still in love with the build-up to that fifth goal. Sweet. Just Sweet.
An excellent ball from the Right wing.

Copied

*WHY THE SUPER FALCONS MIGHT NOT WIN FRIENDLY GAMES ANY TIME SOON...*( Randy waldrum take note )

The major reason why we have failed repeatedly to get positive results from our friendlies is because they have not been used for developmental purposes

How do you keep inviting players you don't need and using players you won't use to execute these matches, and when its time to play competitive games you go back to that same selection that has failed you repeatedly?
We are supposed to use these friendlies to identify how to

1. Get our best Centre back (CB) pairings adaptable with the back 4

2. Fix the problem of the midfield especially on speedy outcomes

3. Device a way to attack from the centre variation from the flanks

4. Bring out the best from players who keep showing signs of greatness especially those inconsistent players that could click any time soon

5. Fix the issue of set pieces with potent variation

6. Give numerous home base players opportunities to prove a point

If these are the purpose of friendly matches * We are certain of purposeful results

Was Harmony Achifula’s Exclusion From Flamingos Squad Deliberate?
imotrumpeta.com

Harmony Achifula is a name conspicuously absent from the recent list of 35 players released by coach Bankole to fight for places in the final squad to Under-17 women’s world cup in India in October.

To say she took the Women’s Nationwide league (Nigeria’s female division 3 league) by storm will be a huge understatement; Harmony Achifula, 16 years old, flooded football pitches with breath-taking goals and all round resplendent center forward play in her division and her best is definitely yet to come.

Her pristine and polished performances in her league and low level cup competitions won rave reviews from the following media houses and online platforms: Punch Newspaper, Imo Trumpeta, Sports 247 NG, Remotv.com to mention a few.

Many pundits are already referring to her as the next Asisat Oshoala. But personally, I think they are getting carried away. Performances in division three football aren’t enough for me to make such a bold statement but I think the young lady has a huge, tantalizing future in front of her if her career trajectory and her own decisions and applications continue to navigate her productivity in the right direction.

For the moment, the teen sensation emphatically powered her club, Imo Striker Queens, to the NWFL Championship (the second tier of women’s league) this year, scoring a jaw dropping 10 goals in four games in the Nationwide league in Benin City.

Aside from emerging as top scorer in the promotion competition, she was also voted as the unanimous Most Valuable Player due to the maturity with which she approached her game and the class, quality, beauty and finesse she brought to bear, all of which suggested she would embrace higher level football with consummate ease.

The quality of her output also earned Achifula a cash grant of N200,000 as grants from LIS (Ladies In Sports Organisers).

So, why was Achifula excluded from coach Bankole’s recently released U-17 women’s list for October’s cadet women’s world cup in India?

Nigeria is blessed with many untapped resources in women’s football; Harmony Achifula is just one of them and one of many left out in this U-17 squad.

Also, as much as I wouldn’t want to diminish the level of league where Achifula recently thrived – she is just 16 years old – but her achievements would have been more difficult for Bankole to ignore had it been in the NWFL (division 2).

So, now that Harmony Achifula has gained promotion to the NWFL, it will be nothing short of criminal if she isn’t included in the Falconets squad for next year’s qualifiers for the 2024 Under-20 women’s world cup (provided she is fit and firing on all scoring cylinders).

But what is undeniable is that Harmony’s recent achievements and the league she accomplished these laudable outputs arguably came too early for national team handlers particularly as there are copious talents to pick from across the country and in diaspora.

But, with hard work, dedication, focus, commitment, proper guidance and good decision making, Harmony Achifula may well be the next Mercy Idoko, Flourish Sabastine or Esther Onyenezide.

It is way too early and much too premature for me to even attempt to compare her with the humongous Asisat Oshoala at this stage, Harmony has a long, long way to go yet (and many people to convince and many obstacles to overcome) to even attain the level of the recent U-20 Falconets strikers.

Meanwhile, three (3) members of Heartland Queens Football Club of Owerri were invited to participate in the ongoing preparations towards the Under 17 female world cup scheduled to hold in India come October 2022.

The players who will train alongside 32 others are, Onyechere Uchechi ( Goal keeper ) , Ekezie Dikachi ( Defender ) and Lucky Mary ( Attacker )

Recall that the three players actively participated in the last National Women Football League ( NWFL ) That earned the Heartland Queens Football Club a well deserved promotion to the premiership .

In a Press Statement released to Sports Journalists by the Head Coach Mr Bankole Olowokere , he stated that quality players drawn from various club sides have been formally invited to put on Nigeria’s National Colours at the forthcoming Under 17 global female football fiesta to be hosted by India in the last quarter of year 2022 .

Under the Captainship of Alvin Dah– Zossu ( first choice goalkeeper) , other invited players are; Faith Omilano , miracle Usani , Blessing Sunday , Comfort Folorunsho Tumuninu Adeshina as goal keepers .

Blessing Emmanuel and Taiwo Afolabi as Midfielders while forward liners Opeyemi Ajakaiye and Aminat Bello are also amongst those invited to report with their training kits at the Serob Legacy Hotel Abuja latest 30th August , 2022 without fail, their International Passport and medical certification are inclusive .

In their qualifying matches, the Flamingos subdued their opponents from DR. Congo, Egypt and Ethiopia and won five out of six soccer encounters .

Yes she is.

I'm guessing the contingent from Nigeria should have arrived by now, though there's nothing to indicate that so far.

Onyi Echegini is another Physically dominating Midfielder with similar style of play like Pogba..

Echegini is Primarily an attacking midfielder, although she is also capable of playing on the left and right flank as a winger which is her current position at Florida State University Women’s Soccer team, in a box-to-box role or even as a Central midfielder.
Echegini is a "powerful, skilful, and creative" player who has "an eye for goal and a penchant for the spectacular which we saw a little glimpse of against Canada early this year.

Echegini is good at delivering dangerous balls into the Box from the Flank, dominant with both feet’s.

With her Long legs she’s quick, hard-working and physically strong player, she’s good in the air and is also known for her stamina, as well as her powerful and accurate striking ability from distance; She has also drawn praise for her finesse, technique, flair and dribbling skills, as well as her ability to hold up the ball. Her characteristics and playing role in midfield initially led her to be compared with Former France international Sandrine Soubeyrand.

We’re awaiting her Performance against the World no.1 team USA. The good news is the NCAA season is currently on and she alongside Nicole Payne will definitely bring that form to the National Team.

A Review Of The Super Falcons' Squad To Face The United States of America

I welcome the inclusion of Imuran and Demehin in the Super Falcons squad. I think they would help bolster the fullback department which is one of the team’s susceptibilities.

These two have already worked with Waldrum in recent times so these invitations just represent continuation to their burgeoning Super Falcons careers.

Onyenezide and Abiodun, alumnis of the Falconets class of 2022, now have the chance to mix it with big girls in the world stage. Whether these invitations will translate to their inclusions in next year’s World Cup Squad remains to be seen as some more established faces might plot their routes back to the team in the coming months which might derail the immediate ambitions of the Falconets graduates.

I am also excited by the inclusion of 22 year old London born Jennifer Echegini whose midfield and attacking prowess are robust and effective. She is such an exciting prospect sure to capture the imagination of fans with her prudent brand of football.

Turkey based Amanda Mbadi Uju is another inclusion that catches the eye. With prescience to pick out defence splitting passes and mesmerising midfield movements, Uju might yet play her way into the plane to next year’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand. She could be seen as an immediate substitute for evergreen Rita Chikwelu if the legend becomes unavailable for the mundial.

All in all it looks like a decent yet experimental squad. I was hoping that 32year old goal-minder Yewande Balogun, who last week moved to the French league, would be included and given a runout for one of the matches. Having played second fiddle to the duo of Oluehi and Nnadozie, one has to wonder when Yewande’s time will come.

Notable exclusions for one reason or another include Tochukwu Oluehi, Ashleigh Plumptre, Onome Ebi, Halimat Ayinde, Ngozi Okobi, Francisca Ordega, Rita Chikwelu and Desire Oparanozie to mention but a few. These absences will give others the chance to stake a claim in the team.

All in all an acceptable list. Should Randy Waldrum revert to type and go for his favoured 3-5-2 formation against a formidable foe, my fantasy starting 11 would be:

GK•• Chiamaka Nnadozie
WB•• Michelle Alozie, Nicole Payne

CB•• Osinachi Ohale, Oluwatosin Demehin, Glory Ogbonna

MF•• Christie Ucheibe, Rasheedat Ajibade, Toni Payne

FW•• Ifeoma Onumonu, Uchenna Kanu

I would like to wish Randy Waldrum and his team good luck as they attempt to record their first win against a team placed ahead of them in the Fifa rankings.

Trouble for Spanish sides ahead of the start of the new season as lack of agreement between the new women's profesional football league, the RFEF and the FUTPRO union are preventing the registration of non-EU players

This means that the likes of Geysa Ferreira, and more would not be eligible to play in the Primera Division and if not resolved could become free agents.

I won't take this literally so assume you intended to say "complain". I don't want to go into insults because things will go out of control. You can as well quote where I was complaining about the falconets. it's very likely you do not even understand what complaining means and you don't want to learn. Just as you don't understand how visas work and you won't learn too. lol.

Anyways I'm done schooling you. believe whatever you like. I don't give a damn.
