Russian gas or not, Europeans cannot die of winter cold. Russia knows Europe will get gas elsewhere. However, it won't be cheap. Cheap is the keyword here. Russia sells cheap has to Europe -- cheap Europe can't get elsewhere.

.you don't get it because you don't understand global oil market dynamics. Poland and the rest are still buying Russian gas from 3rd parties at 3-5 times the cost. Russia sells to China and India at reduced rates. These then sell back to Europe as LNg. Read and learn bro

So much has happened after gas discovery. Almost every aspect of their economy is dependent on gas now ranging from productions to households, plus tremendous population increase. So in as much as they won’t all die, it will affect them dearly.

No wahala bro. Let's see how far. It's not about surviving. LNG is 3-7 times as expensive as natural gas. Na their pockets go tell them. Furthermore their is no capacity in LNG (both delivery wise and conversion plants) to replace Russian natural gas.

Even with how costly it is. I don't see anyone especially our bros and sis running away from Europe. Whatever hardship (as per their pocket) they may go though will be temporary. I won't be suprised that the government of those countries will start rebates and tax cut to support their citizens in getting through.

Russian Ukraine war is not going to be forever. They eventually will resolve their differences.

Russia doesn't want Europe to get cheap gas anymore. And Europe is turning to countries like China that is itself buying from Russia.

my dear Broher,I have been thinking of this ever since the War started and disruptions on gas supplies cane in fronnRussia ends...HIW WOULD IN T HAVE BEEN GKIRIIUS and an opportunity to get of financial and economical rubbkes if Nigeria or any other African nation can fill in the gap and stand well..but I really must be foolng my self here ,our leaders do not have the wherewithal to attempt this,personal ambition and corruption at the highest place won't allow Them think straight .

Even the price of oil that went up a bit for like 1 or 2 months during the summer months, Canada, Saudi, Norway and some other oil producing countries cashed out.

A friend in Canada informed me that his family is receiving $1,000 (or $500 per adult) by cheque from his provincial government due to excess profit from crude oil sale.

For those who have been saying Europe cannot survive without Russian gas, the gas is presently not flowing from Russia, let us watch and see how Europe will die or crash because of the stop of Russian gas. No single nation has absolute monopoly of anything. Europe must have planned for this a long time ago even before the war in Ukraine.

All they have to do is build infrastructure to convert LNG to gas. Qatar, Russia, Venezuela, and Nigeria all have proven LNG reserves. Don't forget Norway is also close by. Germany, France, and Spain will be fine. They can bring LNG from Norway into Hamburg and refine it into gas.

Nigeria has the 9th largest natural Gas Reserves in the world. Some consortium of US energy companies are already planning how to construct 4000 kilometers pipelines from Nigeria all the way to link up with Algeria's current pipelines going into Spain. I read that in Wall Street article. The main hold up appears to be political stabilities in some countries. Right now the Fifth fleet is based in Qatar and UAE, a similar Navy presence will have to be developed to guide against saboteurs in some African Country.

Had Putin switched off, Gas in Europe during Gaddafi's regime, NATO wouldn't have invaded Libya and the ripple effect of banditry and kidnaping wouldn't have entered Nigeria.
