Update 2:

I returned to my base on Wednesday and first went straight to my garden to see what was up with it.

First, I noticed that the drip irrigation for the pepper was the only one that worked.

The other two stopped at some point. So while the pepper looked fresh and was growing better and faster, the tomatoes was already sulking.

The groundnut was just there. Quickly had to pour water on the three of them, before resolving the issues with the drip irrigation.

Update 3:

Before I got to my place, I stopped over at my family house where I gathered two half filled bags of soil.

Luckily, there were some bags of chicken manure that had stayed over for a while.

I equally took about four shovels of these and put in each of the bags.

These I took to my place as they would form the bedrock of my gardening for the next 6 months to 1 year.

Do you plan to rear them for commercial purposes or just for your personal consumption..
Sorry boss, skipped your message.

I rear them majorly for consumption, but I'd be doing some test and personal research on them.

I want to see if there's anything that can be done to make them grow faster in 6 months to a year at least.

Will be developing some feed materials on my own for this purpose.

I stopped over at the Creek Road market yesterday to purchase a few items for my garden.

I bought

1. Small plastic spade
2. 3 plastic buckets
3. 3 plastic bowls.

As against using cement sack bags, I decided to go for these that would be presentable, and easy to maintain.

I also had the option of buying those plastic orange coloured garden pots but I couldn't come to terms with paying 3,000 naira for 1 by 6 = 18,000 naira. Outrageous, no??

Forgot to take pictures of the plastic bowls before filling in sand, so manage what I have here.

I had a lot of La Sien bottles in my house, so I got three of them and cut their bottoms open.

Using a nail, I punctured two opposite holes close to the now opened bottom of the bottles.

It was through those holes I pushed in the ropes that were used to suspend them in the air.

Finally, I opened a hole in the cover of the bottles with a nail as well.

Noticing that the holes were too wide and the water was dripping too fast, I took out three cotton bud sticks, and removed the wools.

Using fire, I closed one end of the cotton bud stick and stuck the other end into the bottle cover.

This served to reduce the quick flow of the water, thereby ensuring that;

1. The water won't quickly drip out.
2. My crops won't get flooded.

I then tied them to the support I had created before filling them with water.

I would return by Wednesday and hopeful that the crops would be alive till then.
Did you plant curry

No, I didn't but I'm thinking I need to because the bottom of the soil is pretty wet.

Which means I need to set up a sitting model for them.

Is it not better planting in a kano sac bag? Except you are not going to use those containers for something else in the future

Those containers will be utilized for planting alone at least for the next 1 year.

So I guess I'd have to assign them to planting containers and maintain them as such.

I've transplanted the tomatoes and pepper so far, and I didn't open holes in the bucket. I plan to regulate the amount of water given to them daily. I want to see how well they'd thrive under such circumstance.

I bought fresh pepper from the market, cut it open and took out some of the seeds.

Next, I dried them for two days, opened holes in the soil and put in each one. Then I watered. That's all.
