I was reading my child’s school website and saw this “All children in reception, year one and year two are entitled to a free school meal”.
I was initially worried that it couldn’t be the FSM that has some salary thresholds, but this is actually under the Universal Infant Free School Meals. So, don’t be afraid if you fall under this category smiley

u are right . I keep wondering . some people get it easy while some pay lot of money. I know of three of my colleagues that paid £12, 000 to agent and they are Indians
My friend in Nigeria said that she applied and got two offers but she turned them down bc of the condition of the job.

I learnt that some homes will sign a contract of five years with u, if u bleach the contact they will cancel y visa while some if you get another job sponsor u can leave.

For your dependants?
What visa category are you on that you can’t use same to bring your dependants in ?

Believe me, it’s getting easier compared to months and years back. Just keep researching. Also, approach directly those same places people are asking you to bring £8k or £10k, rather than thru intermediaries

Did you mean British Gas, instead of British Electricity? Note that both British Gas and Scottish Gas are the same company - when British Gas operates in Scotland, it trades under the name of Scottish Gas, but both are the same company.

Regarding the substance of your question - you can speak with British Gas and tell them you want to install a smart meter in your flat. You can also let them know that you want your electricity service to be postpaid, which can be serviced through direct debit. I use British Gas smart meter and it is postpaid. It is, as you noted, much more cheaper and cost effective than prepaid.

All the best.

Thanks. I did this last week. Waiting for their response this week now. You are right, they are both the same.

Regards

This is an old discussion- Paying TV license or not.
I think anyone joining even a religious programme via facebook live, youtube etc is liable to TV license. One is safer to assume responsibility than dodge it.
Please, what is the advantage of a Broadband+ TV subscription vs Broadband alone then one do Netflix separately?

To be fair, this is the right thing to do. If you don't have "liver" like me, just pay the £15 or so monthly, it's not that big a deal. Tomorrow, you may buy a smart TV that comes with bbc installed. Many of them do. [/quote]

Depends on what and how you seeing it - is it half empty or half full?

Please, don’t pay someone such ‘hoooge’ amount only to get on the job and your expectations are dashed allowing frustration and depression to set in.
It is not worth it.

Besides, there are other happiness-inducing routes to sponsorship.
