Did Obi directly or indirectly beg anyone for monetary support towards his campaign? The answer is no meaning that anybody that donates to his campaign do so out of his or her willingness. Peter Obi may probably not know of such donations too. Obedients were formed by ordinary people and not Obi and so however they want to source funds to a achieve their aim of forming the group is not Obi's business. Mpbody should rope him into something he knows nothing about. Agbado urchins should focus more on Tinubu bullion van and leave PO alone. |

Hotfreeze:A politician steals from Nigeria's coffers, invests the money abroad, repatriates the money for political campaign in Nigeria. Such a politician is committing heinous crime against the people of Nigeria. His acts are not on the same page with the other politician who receives private donations from Nigerians abroad to fund his political pursuit. Mind you, Obi's donnors don't donate to Labour Party, but to Obi and his political pursuit. |

seunmsg:Arrogantly ignorant... Ever asked yourself why in Election Tribunal, the Party is noted differently from the candidate? |

seunmsg:I was thinking same. But wait, if a common man that has no bullion van nor servants he has put in government position want to contest for thr top seat, then how should the political party be funded? Is it through primary or through members of the political party? |

seunmsg:No, it's your views that are rather silly here. So anyone that supports Peter Obi or work for his campaign team is automatically a labour party member? Peter Obi Campaign Organisation is not a political party, neither does its membership translate to being a member of Labour Party. |

just2endowed:Labour party is not the same as Peter obi. Party wins elections, not candidates, in Nigeria atleast. That is why candidates can be replaced but party remains in power. Are you saying Peter obi cannot receive any gift from now till 2023 because he wants to run for president? |

What could be unlawful about what is freely given? As a matter of fact a fundraising campaign is as lawful as the internally generated revenue. Lol |

How can someone call bona-fide Nigerians in the diaspora foreigners? What kind of lawyers are we churning from our universities? This is the reason why I don't like the art. There're too many interpretations to one common object. Maths on the other hand is specific, universal and non-abstract. Engineering every time mehn. |

Naijanascam:You do not know the meaning of what he just explained: that there is a difference between a candidate and the party but funds the candidate recieve is collected for the party's candidate to produce campaign materials for the party but not for funding the party, and you believe that incorrect assertion? That guy just confused you with arrant nonsense and will lose flatly in court |

FrauleinBlossom:It is unlawful because foreign interests can effectively hijack the political process in Nigeria and install their lackey as the president. |

“Section 225(3)(a)(b) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as altered) provides that: ‘No political party shall hold or possess any funds or other assets outside Nigeria; or b. be entitled to retain any funds or assets remitted or sent to it from outside Nigeria’.” Is it that this Lawyer cannot read or he needs a Dictionary to understand what it means Isn't Peter Obi the Labour party Candidate again? Why is the Lawyer Wrestling with Words that are so plain to understand? |

seunmsg:1. You are not a lawyer. Even if you are a lawyer, you will find it very difficult to win a single case. 2. English appears to be very difficult for you to understand. Reading English is different from understanding the contents of what you read. Please get more understanding of English. 3. Obi is not your problem. The problem is the failed leaderships that Nigeria has experienced since the military regime of Gowon. 4. Buhari retired from politics in 2011. BAT approached him with a plan. The plan brought Buhari to power, supported heavily by your likes. Here we are after 7 years. You cannot claim that you do not feel the negative effects of the failed leadership. 5. You presently support BAT on the basis of emi lo kan and not issues that are bedeviling our country and the way out. 6. Please vote wisely in 2023 to avoid more 8 years in the wilderness. |

We all know that. What I am interested in is whether it’s lawful for Tinubu and Atiku to buy delegates at their conventions to the disadvantage of people who play by the rules. |
