Is your mum late yet?

How would you feel if someone she deeply offended while alive attends her burial and says these things in a very bitter manner in the presence of the bereaved/survivors?

What history is been taught in a vulgar tweet. She is just filled with hate and poison that will eventually consume her and your likes.

So this was about Biafra. Ojukwu dragged ibo people into a war that was doomed from the start. Blame the coward Ojukwu that fled to Ivory Coast after leading thousands of his kinsmen to slaughter.
Common sense is not common. Queen Elizabeth did the best she could for Nigeria by granting it it's independence. Independence meaning 'you are a sovereign nation, handle your own business henceforth'. How Igbos think she was supposed to meddle in the affairs of Nigeria, six years after she had handed over is what I don't understand. What was she supposed to have done for bleeps sake?

We are not ignorant of the slavery, oppression and thievery of the British colonialist headed by Her Majesty.

However, we also cannot deny it open the door of civilization to us.

You need to revise what you have up there.

Your forefathers had a civilization. They had government. They had complex societies. They had cities. They had division of labour. They had a monetary system of exchange. And so on.

They had a civilization. It was nowhere near perfect - there was definitely a lot wrong with it but goddamn it - they had a civilization!

99.9% of commentators here are ignorant why that lady tweeted that tweet, she was a victim of the Biafra war! Her family was torn apart by that war, she has first hand knowledge of what that war did to Igbo people and who committed the whole atrocities.

She forgets the queen was just a ceremonial head and didn't have much political duties or influence as such. Unlike the prime minister.

This is incorrect.

There is a lot of power and influence being wielded behind the scenes by the British crown.

Don't fall for the trap that Nigerian colonies weren't civilized before the British came to colonize us. They painted us as savages and you're falling for the narrative. Didn't we build our own homes, make our own clothing, and understand herbal health care?

What about the walls of Benin which were said to rival even the great walls of China? Why didn't they colonize China?

Partially yes, refer to a post on page 19 of this thread that lists the education system set up by the imperial powers that teach us plato... that system is still in force today...

But partially nigerians are to blame for failing to update that colonial curriculum.

You do not know history. The independence was "won" not granted. Britain was FORCED to recognize the independence.... unwillingly.... and they hv still not left.... they are still here through civil service organizations....

May be because you were not directly affected.
That's the reason you may see her statement as shameful. IF she's referring to the Biafran war, then you really need to be told what happened, what transpired and how it all started.
Let me remind you, many Easterners lost their first and second sons. In fact many had their families wiped out simply because they wanted to be independent.
Most IGBO MEN you see today are probably the new first sons they can boast of now. In fact, today, the ones in their 70s and above are just survivors who survived by the whiskers.

I want you and all easterners to know since the time of the Biafria war till now is a long time enough to heal the wounds. Did Uau's statement stopped the pains the war caused the Biafriqns? The answer is an obvious no. I sincerely condemn war against the Easterners but I think her statement came a very bad time. She should have made the state all the while the late queen was alive so why wait till her death for such? It all shows lack of humanity.

I don't give a Bleep about the past, the white people are not the enemy, black people are the enemies. Your fathers allowed all the bullshit.

As a matter of fact, blacks have been keeping slaves before white people came to us... my father told me of how black kings use to use the bare backs of people as tray for hot food, drink human blood.

So fvck all the dead Nd living corrupt black men..

For once in your life stop blaming whites and see the real problem instead.

It's like black people fighting racism when there is intense tribalism and xenophobic behaviour amongst us.

Fight the root problem Nd the secondary problem goes away.
